I hope there are still some people like me who are ad insanely obsessed and fixated over bad buddy as I am even after 4 (almost half a decade) of it airing because I wrote a giant series

The series basically explores Dissaya and Pran's relationship, her relationship with Pat and how she makes space for him and his parents, ming and pats relationship and Pat an Pran's wedding

To be more concise

Dissaya and Pran - 12,625 words

Dissaya making space for Pat and family - 10, 902 words

Ming and Pat - 6,889 words

Pat x Pran wedding - 5,670 words

I have been writing this since the past 2 years on and off and it's almost ready to publish in ao3 (need to check grammar and spelling-so the final word count may change)

Anyway this post is to share happiness that j finally saw the idea through and wrote it but also genuine curiosity if anyone would be interested in reading it (if you wanna be tagged, let me know)

No because do you understand how much power a show must have that even after three years of it having aired, the minute it is removed from complete accessibility of the viewers- it is immediately clocked by EVERYBODY. And they're actually mad about it.

something i was thinking about while thinking about bad buddy (as usual) is that pat realizes pran is into guys in episode 2 and that changes absolutely nothing about their dynamic. i know it's not fully stated (as many things aren't in bad buddy and i love this show for that), but it's heavily implied that pat assumes so when he teases pran about coming to the rooftop despite knowing there was a guy waiting for him there. the whole scene of pat kissing the note with the male pronouns and the look he gives pran when he walks away says it all. he also assumes pran has a crush on wai when he starts realising he's feeling jealous of him. doesn't even question whether wai or himself being a guy could be an issue.

and while i know homophobia doesn't exist in bad buddy, we know heteronormativity does. so up until that moment pat probably thought pran was straight, he'd have assumed he'd be into girls. they even competed for girls' attention when they were children. to now find out pran is into guys (maybe not exclusively, at least as far as he knows, but still) could change their dynamic a little considering how pat was raised, it could lead him to consider pran less manly, or to even suspect that pran actually has a crush on him (in this case it'd be true, but like it's the classic assumption straight people make when they find out their friends are queer). pat doesn't even hesitate. he still treats pran the same exact way. he doesn't make connections between him being all neat and clean and organized and good at house chores to him being gay/feminine. he never saw pran as anything different than his rival, equal to him in all things. even if pran had eventually dated a guy, it would have changed nothing between them. if anything, it would have just made pat realise he liked him back way sooner, as he'd have gotten super jealous about it 😜

The first time I watched Bad Buddy was like 2 years after it came out. Why? Because the title sounded weird and I was like it can’t be that good it came out such a long time ago and I think I just started watching 2gether which had such a big hype and it was such a disappointment. But after a long time of convincing myself, I gave it a chance and my god, was I hooked. It was funny,heartbreaking and so perfect. Now, after some time passed, I’m watching it again and my god, the feels are right there where I left them. With Pran and Pat. With Ohm and Nanon. It’s honestly rare that when I rewatch a show it hits just the same like the first time I saw it. Hell,it hits even more. It is still so funny and entertaining, my heart still skips a beat or beats faster when there’s a sweet scene. My heart still breaks into a million pieces when there’s a sad scene. These two boys can act so well, they are so natural with each other, their faces and whole body is so expressive it’s a joy to watch such talented young actors portray the feelings so perfectly. Also, the chemistry is insane. I am drowning in feels right now and I’m just glad I get to experience it again and I am glad that it’s a show that I can rewatch from time to time. And I love the fact that when I rewatch it, I get to enjoy it even more than the first time. Which is rare. Very rare. It’s so special. When I rewatch a show it’s usually just nostalgia that I feel. But with this one I feel everything and even more than the first time.
