So I'm watching a documentary that features people who were prominent leaders of the "pray the gay away" movement and all of them in the doc have since left it but...I still fucking hate them? Like, it took them DECADES to finally see the cruelness and harm in what they were doing - not to mention these people were INTEGRAL to the passing of Prop 8 in California.

But now they get to just lead their lives? One lady still gets to have her happy marriage with her kids and zero repercussions. Like, I'm sorry, whatever amount of guilt you feel from your involvement in this is not enough in my eyes. You actively harmed so so so so many people and laid the groundwork for the continued harassment of the queer community today.

Go fuck yourselves and I truly don't know how you can look at yourself in the mirror.

Watching 'Pray away' on Netflix and there's just a sense of evil that radiates off those televangelist and all the fundamentalist Christians.

And this weird 'extrans' person is just disturbing to hear them speak and tell a parent not to accept their trans child

I just watched Pray Away on netflix and I am devastated right now.

For someone who grew up in the 21st century in a pretty unreligious family I had a lot of troubles understanding HOW its even possible to pray away the gay or why you need to so.

You literally have no saying about your sexuality or gender identity, its not a choice!

Telling people who are gay that they are broken” and need to change WHO THEY ARE is inexcusable.

I am still in tears and I am so sorry for every single person who doesn’t feel valued because of their sexuality or gender identification!

Let me tell you something; nothing is wrong about the way you are and you should embrace the diversity in people!

I am sending so much love out tonight to all my fellow lgbtq+ people here on tumblr and to those who are closeted and can’t come out! You are not alone! all those f***ers need to calm down!
