Patrick has always been satisfied with fantasies. Comic book characters make good friends, and desire is easily satiated with magazines.

Then he becomes roommates with Eddy Tressler. Eddy, who doesn’t talk much, but always waves good morning. Eddy, who knows his way around every instrument. Eddy, who is tall and smart and goddamn beautiful. Eddy, who has started making him want something real.

Patrick doesn’t know what he’d do in a real relationship, though. He can’t keep up with most people. Even if he tries, Eddy will grow bored with him. Frustrated with his slowness.
