check in with the princess, introduce yourself, and take your leave. that’s it.
such simple instructions, and yet the angel still couldn’t help but dawdle as she took the time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoor market that had set up that morning. stalls after stalls of handmade goods, locally grown foods and flowers, and small businesses hoping to make their lasting impression in the city held leah’s attention, though she was still quite successful in keeping a close eye on hibiko as the princess took her own time to enjoy the market. it wasn’t until they both had stopped at a stand featuring handmade jewelry did leah speak first, her eyes flickering up to study the princess a bit closer as she spoke now that they were next to each other.
“i think these would look nicer on you.” and the angel offered out to the other a pair of earrings, a rather sweet smile visible on her face once she caught a good look of the princess. “ah, you’re so much cuter in person.” a playful remark that was coupled by a giggle, and with the stand’s owner and other patrons distracted momentarily, the angel adds, “i’m leah, your guardian angel. it’s nice to finally meet you!”
