It’s crazy that the MCU currently has three black men who are meant represent patriotism and are the embodiments of the US (Sam Wilson, Isaiah Bradly, and Eli Bradly) and also three black women who are the some of smartest women in universe and are accomplished heroes in their own right (Shuri, Riri Williams, and Monica Rambeau) and yet they’ve all been sidelined and mistreated despite being some of the most interesting characters they’ve brought to live action since Endgame

#and one of them is Captain fucking america #and yes I know that Sam and shuri got their own movies but it took years for us to get a Sam cap movie #and we haven’t seen shuri in anything since wakanda forever #same with riri and Monica they were sidelined for years #also I know we barely saw Eli but he’s meant to some day be patriot which is the young avengers version of cap #and him being a young black man taking up the shield would be such an interesting storyline given you know the everything #but noooooo #also this isn’t a complete list of the mistreated black characters in the mcu if it was I would be here for days #and I could also make this point about pretty much any POC superhero that marvel has in their lineup right now #I’m just mad about this specifically in this moment since I remembered #sam wilson #captain america #isaiah bradley #eli bradley #patriot #princess shuri #black panther #riri williams #ironheart #monica rambeau #mcu #ro’s out patrolling
