well, i mean, he basically abandons her and doesn't really consider her feelings and distances himself from her, and then attacks her! if he's so in love with her, none of that should've stopped him. he even admits himself that he was too chickenshit to do anything

first he puts rukia on a pedestal and then is verbally and physically abusive to her; that's some shit ass love right there.

Another man has to save the girl you supposedly love? Please, even Uryū did more for Rukia while he claimed to hate shinigami. He was the first who tried to save her, and sewed a dress to her. What did Renji do for Rukia in the whole show? Nothing… But somehow they end up together. I don’t understand.

I find it rather insulting that people who claim to be Rukia’s fans base all of her worth on who she sleeps with.

Like……come on dude you’re really gonna abandon her because she won’t sleep with Ichigo?????

Like Rukia is the GOLDEN standard of manga/anime heroines. She’s hardworking, kind, beautiful, AND she actually worked to get where she is. I mean yeah Byakuya helped and trained her but after that she more than proved her worth as a CAPTAIN.

And to have her husband that is so secure in his masculinity that he has no problem serving under her and is in fact proud of his woman is something that’s hardly ever seen in manga and anime.

Yet Rukia’s character is “trash” without Ichigo’s dick.

Same with Sakura from Naruto except she herself put her own self worth in getting Sasuke’s dick despite all the hard work Tsunade put into training her to be her own woman. I’m honestly surprised Kishimoto didn’t show how disappointed Tsunade would be in Sakura for chasing down a man that clearly doesn’t love her. Her fan base is just the same. If Sakura didn’t get Sasuke, Sakura fans would be right next to IchiRuki fans burning their books and merch.

Rukia is literally what Sakura should’ve been: an independent strong female character with a husband that actually loves and appreciates her with a daughter that actually respects her
