Finn was raised by his mother and father until his father died when he was very young. He was told that his father died in the Iraqi war, but he found out in high school that he died of a drug overdose somewhere after abandoning the family for the millionth time to party. The image he had of his father is still a good one though, he still misses and loves him. The only other male role model he had growing up was the guy that came around to spray paint the lawn, someone his mom was seeing for a while. This man introduced Finn to rock music and his love for drumming. He took up football in high school and started a Youtube channel on the side during the first big boom era of Youtube. His channel covered sports topics, music covers, video games, and stuff he thought was funny or important-- most of which people also think is funny. One day he grilled a cheese sandwich and after a series of videos about the Grilled Cheesus, he ate it and signed up for Project Real because he thinks the sandwich wanted him to through "signs" that he felt he saw at the time.
What made your character want to get involved in PROJECTREAL?: He wants to support a charity, after his Grilled Cheesus told him to give back before he ate it.
What is your character most looking forward to during the show?: Having fun.
Is there anything your character is nervous about?: Not really.
Does your character have a strategy for getting through to the end?: Or are they simply playing from the heart?: He hasn't thought that far.
Why did your character choose the charity they chose?: He didn't have a role model growing up and he wants to not only be one for others, but help those he can't reach find someone of their own. He hopes to get some publicity for it, because he didn't know it existed before he asked his mom to help him look up charities.
The PROJECTREAL house welcomes contestant REMY ROCHEFORT! Remy, written by S, will be playing for the charity of his choice, the TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS! You’ll have 24 hours to get in, get settled, and claim your bed before the games officially begin! Have fun, consider your strategy, and remember- the world is watching.
In Character
Name: Remy Rochefort
Age: 30
Gender/Pronouns: cis man he/him
Sexuality: pansexual
Hometown: Rochefort-en-Terre, France
Birth Order: Oldest, I'd be open to a sister
Open to Cousins?: yes
FC: Bill Skarsgard
Known For: being rich on social media and being the heir son of the founding family of his hometown
Charity of Choice (can be real or made up!): To Write Love on Her Arms https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/260789229?fromlistid=328
As a Rochefort, even people that are new to the town comment on Remy’s last name the second they find out what it is. He can’t escape the legacy of his ancestors, and he can’t escape the expectations of the native townspeople as a whole. It’s not even like his family is hugely responsible for the town, they were just one of the richest and first to show up, and they take that as a reason to donate to charity and stay in the middle of everyone else’s business. The fact that he proved to be incredibly intelligent and talented in a variety of different arenas only added to the focus that was put on him.
However, Remy isn’t as interested or invested in the politics and the drama of small town life. Honestly, he could move away and not miss it. To live life somewhere that isn’t named after his family would be amazing. As it is, he doesn’t work and he doesn’t go to school. He may very well live his whole life without any ambition or goal and it would be fine, his family fortune is grand enough and their business earns enough that he really doesn’t have to do anything to stay rich.
The pressure is too much for Remy sometimes, and he’s been known to be a little unreliable. That was nothing compared to the news when he started going out one day with a child with no marriage or interest in pursuing a relationship with the other biological parent. Nobody even knew who the other biological parent was. It was a huge scandal when the news came out and he ignored it to focus on the child. What nobody knows is, it’s not really his child. The biological mother came to him in tears when she found out that she was pregnant and he cared for her enough as a friend to promise himself to the role so that she wouldn’t have to feel shame as a single parent scandal. Instead, he took the gossip bullet. And he foots the bill for the baby and gives to his mother to help her stay afloat. As shocking as it was, at this point when people talk about it they’re less surprised that Remy Rochefort of all people had an illegitimate child. He’s a catch, anyone would want to try to snare him and he’s irresponsible enough to not take precautions; is the gossip.
In the background of all of this, he runs his own social media accounts and all of them are incredibly popular worldwide for the way they show off his rich lifestyle and his child. He's a social media influencer without trying to influence people.
What made your character want to get involved in PROJECTREAL?: For fun. kind of a "why not" situation.
What is your character most looking forward to during the show?: Getting to know people without the weight of being a Rochefort in Rochefort-en-terre.
Is there anything your character is nervous about?: The questions about his personal life that he knows he doesn't want to answer.
Does your character have a strategy for getting through to the end? Or are they simply playing from the heart?: No, he doesn't really care all that much. He's there for fun. If he loses, he'll donate his own money instead.
Why did your character choose the charity they chose?: He has seen depression in his lifetime and it felt like the best option when there were endless options.
