♔ EVENT - A Change in Mangement, A Change in Policy ♔

...And then she turns to you, to all of you, standing at the doors agape. She's tiny, no more than 4'5", and is standing on the chair at the head of the table. Her diminutive size does not lessen the terror of her words.

"...You all want to leave here, yes? Escape this place? You may call me Monoswan. My brother had no intention of letting you go. I, on the other hand, am willing to let one of you earn that right."

"...From now on, you will all be playing a game of Mutual Killing. The first of you to murder three of your classmates and get away with it will be sent home. To make it fair, however, the class will have a chance to investigate and hold a trial each time anyone is killed. Whomever is declared guilty will be permanently removed from the game, by which I mean they will be publicly executed, as is fitting for their heinous crime."

"...For further information, consult your handbooks. They have been updated. If you have questions, ask. If you have complaints, I don't care."

"I look forward to seeing who proves themselves worthy of continuing to live."

Following her matter-of-fact speech, Monoswan hopped off of the chair that she was standing on and made her way out of the Great Hall, delivering a swift kick to Gosami's gut on her way.

♔ EVENT - Coup D'État ♔

You awaken in your bed to your third day in Nechräm Kingdom. The third day of being trapped in this strange place. As you dress yourself and head down to the Great Hall for breakfast, mentally preparing to continue the cycle of fruitless questions and searching, you wonder just how long you're intended to stay here. As you enter however, it seems that already something is occurring to break the barely established routine.

"What are you doing? I'm handling this...!"

"No. You're not. You're wasting time."

Gosami seemed to be having a rather intense argument with another bird that none of them had seen before.

"You're not making any sense! It shouldn't take much longer, but we're not supposed to fight! Why are you doing this?"

"You don't know how long it will take. You don't know anything. I'm done with twiddling my thumbs while you prance around doing nothing. I'm done with playing second fiddle to a cowardly moron."

The other bird advanced upon him threateningly, voice remaining completely even yet growing exponentially in intensity as it continued to speak.

"I'm done with you, brother. Consider yourself dethroned."

And then suddenly she transformed, becoming human and gripping the still goosish Gosami by his long neck tightly with an almost bored expression. He honked and struggled in panic, but seemed unable to break free. And then, like she was discarding a piece of trash, she flung him across the room and into the stone wall, where he slumped to the ground, bleeding.

Survivalism | Aleksei | RE: The Rope

There it was. The rope. Hanging in his bedroom, begging to be pulled. However, if there was one thing Aleksei knew about ominous ropes hanging with no explanation as to why they were there, it was that you should definitely not pull them. It was very clearly a trap devised by the bird. Man, who even likes birds anyway, he always knew they were no good.

If he wasn't going to pull the rope, there was only one thing left to do. Try to CUT IT DOWN. After all, that rope could be put to good uses. In the wild rope can actually be incredibly useful for several different purposes, although it's not something that is easy to come across unless you bring it yourself. So having an opportunity like this, he just couldn't pass it up. However, there was still quite a bit of a dilemma. How does one cut a rope without some sort of cutting instrument.

Dang, his plans were completely ruined. He could always try gnawing on the rope and cutting it down that way. That would be extremely tiring, though. Not to mention that the cut wouldn't be as good as if he could just saw it down with a knife. Thus, before he could collect the rope... He must look elsewhere.

And thus, the quest for the rope began.

"Yeah, just lean in and breathe close! I'll waft it over like a scientific person, I won't stick my nose in your mouth or anything."

That only really answered one of his questions, but Jamie shrugs.

"I’m still a mite confused about all this but, alright then, if you insist." With only a hint of hesitation he opens his mouth and gently breathes up towards Bennett. He’s not really short, but she’s so tall that she’s most likely going to have to lean down a bit to get a good whiff.

"Heyyy, man! Burke-san and I are investigatin' a little, can I smell your breath for my data?"

"Hey there Miss Be- uh. Pardon? What kind of data would you get from smelling my breath…? And how exactly would you go about doin’ that? You want me to… breathe on you or somethin’?"

Ding-a-ling, Ring My Bell | Cat | Re: Rope & Dog

Cat suffers from one of the biggest problems known to actual cats: Curiosity. Therefore, after giving her pretty suite room a quick look over, the strange hanging rope caught her attention. Therefore, stretching up onto her tip toes, the small disk jockey gives one mighty pull! She frowns when nothing immediately happens. However, she then -- hears something? Her ears twitch.

"Another animal?" She asks, puzzled - and then the poodle enters the room ---

then it /talks/.

Cat lets out a noise that sounds likes a cat's hiss crossed with a strangled yelp, followed by her backing hastily and tripping backwards onto her bed. She lays there for a few seconds, before sitting back up.

"S-sorry." The catgirl says softly.

"W-who are you?" She asks, nervously.

Hopefully Emile didn't catch any of that yelp.

"Wh…H-How did you do that?!"

She dropped them in shock. Crack. There they went again. Akira didn’t seem to notice, just staring at Gosami with shock and mild terror.

"Oh my, please be more careful!" Gosami curves his neck down further and delicately picks the glasses up in his beak. Once more the cracked lenses repair themselves, and he extends his neck to hold the eyewear out towards its owner.

"Uhm... Excuse me... Gosami-san? Would you happen to know where I could find a black light... Or something...?

"A black light…? How can a light be black? I’ve never heard of such a spell.”
