They’ve stated that they are especially fond of our Milwaukee Handicraft collection, and we recall that they were particularly appreciative of surface patterns and nature, so we have selected this eclipse-watching dove of peace in her Laurel tree in recognition.

The MHP was founded in 1935 by Harriet Clinton, head of the Women’s Division of Wisconsin’s WPA to help unskilled women laborers provide income for their families. Clinton hired Elsa Ulbricht, an art professor at the Milwaukee State Teacher’s College (one of UWM’s predecessor institutions), to direct the project. The MHP hired around 5,000 people in total throughout its highly successful seven-year existence.

Painted cardboard cut-out dream shapes float around at the "Space Transformation Library Situation" sessions in the Workshop room of the Providence Public Library in Downtown Providence. This Saturday’s 1-3pm, session will be the last one until the May 21, 2022 performance at 3pm.
On Saturday afternoons from 1-3pm, Yuranian Aliens and drop-in participants of all ages paint cardboard cut-out dream shapes and assemble foam components for a collaborative "GROUP-BOT" project. "Space Transformation Library Situation" sessions take place on Saturdays until April 9, 2022 in the Workshop room of the Providence Public Library in Downtown Providence. It’s free!
There'll be a performance/presentation at 3pm on Sat May 21, 2022.
