ABOUT CHANDLER
adopted the second of the july children, chandler was naturally gifted with personality. she was kind but stern, always determined to reach whatever her goals were. of course, she was pushed by her parents to be not only street-wise but book-smart as well. she was expected to never let her grades drop below an a-minus. nyc was a lot of things, a town full of stars - flush with cash, glitz, glamor and everything in between. but she wasn't blind to the evils that lurched beneath steering clear of the acting ploys that the city managed to push onto her because she was a july. from a teen she knew she was attracted to women. thankfully, nyc was a much more accepting place than a lot of other parts of the country - meaning her mother was a bit more open minded about acceptance and any kind of love their daughter found. but she did not want to come out and tell her for the fear of the backlash from everyone else and what it would mean for her mother. through school though, she found her love for volleyball. iher height was the first thing that drew coaches to her, exactly what was needed for a volleyball player. staying focused in school was manageable when she had to keep her grades up to play. she never pictured herself playing professionally though until she received a scholarship invite to psu. but college...it was different, harder. the hours were longer, the classes were tougher, the physicality was more intense and she found herself drowning most days. except for when she was at the beach. something about sand between her toes and sun on her skin that made her feel alive again despite it all. her junior year into her senior year she found herself in a whirlwind relationship with her head coach's wife off the heels of a national championship win. it was at a post-win party where olivia came onto her, and chandler should have known better than to let herself think that it would be anything else except sex. but still, she caught feelings and admitted she wanted more. but, after sneaking around for two years chandler called it quits. opting to stay single and focus on getting onto team usa's volleyball team. the fall out though came with shocking pictures from the paparazzi and she had to learn to control the narrative. so, she did exactly that. she made the alternate roster for the olympic team in the 2012, main roster team in 2016 where they got a silver medal, then again in 2020 where she won a gold medal. after capping her career with a gold meal, she decided to retire from playing the sport. being an olympic athlete though, she has sponsorships and is a bit of an influencer though she would never call herself that, lol. and now she has accepted the head coaching position for the women's volleyball team at psu hoping to redeem herself from her time at psu.
FAMILY BACKGROUND
cassandra july, the biggest rising star on broadway and tv in her twenties, met joseph campbell, a producer, in a drunken stupor at a bar in new york city post her broadway break down in “damn yankees” - a one night stand turned into a pregnancy and suddenly cassandra was navigating on her own with a child on the way. once the birth of her first child cassandra would leave them with a nanny or her mother while she was away at rehab. after, she went on to star on the masked singer after reclaiming her sobriety. she then decided that being a mother was her greatest joy and went on to adopt 3 more children.
