PsychicEmotion6... where the flip should I begin with this game? .
I picked this game up expecting cute and fluffy scenes, instead I was greeted with characters’ with their own serious problems and issues... which isn’t that bad but it gets kind of lacking, but after you unlock Subaru > Tsukasa > Hidaka that’s when things get REALLY interesting.
If anyone is thinking of picking this up, I’d recommend going by this order:
Aoi / Shiina / Mizuki < in any order is fine, literally.
Kazuteru
Subaru
Tsukasa
Hidaka
Every time I think back, the first 4 Princes’ Marriage End just feels messed up... They don’t know what will happen after the Engage Ceremony, and that’s really sad... but if they knew what happens, I wonder what would of happened.
I’m still a little shocked... some things that are revealed aren’t all sweet and cutesy, it’s kind of sad and dark in few cases...
But I think the Special Scenario in the Special Menu part was adorable, and really great to go through after seeing the bad ends. I definitely needed some healing after a few sad moments...
Personally I enjoyed Aoi and Hidaka’s the most.
I know that this game was first introduced as a CD series, but I’ve not listened to any of the characters and it felt fine. It didn’t feel lacking in the case of character wise, but if you’re interested in the CDs go ahead, and see if you want the game afterwards I guess. But if you go straight onto games regardless if there is a CD or not, go ahead.
This game is easy to read, not so much of Kanji as I’ve seen. Also it’s quite short. I’ve just about completed 2 character routes, including 3 endings, in 1 day while taking an hour or two away for breaks and food.
I definitely would recommend this game to people, but I’d say wait till there’s a sale, or they find it quite cheap.
I finished Kiya Shiina’s route in PsychicEmotion6, and I thought it’d be nice to write some of my thoughts down and just give a small peak about the game.

Story:
The plot was alright in my opinion, but it feels like at the middle it kind focused more on the Boy of your choosing’s problem, than trying to get closer to the Heroine. And I felt like I didn’t get to know Hikari that much since she’s just trying figure out what’s wrong with Shiina most of the time.
I don’t know if the other characters’ stories is going to carry on as same as Shiina’s, but I really do think that Hikari needs a background story of what she is, and not just focus on the boys’ and their problems. Personally I felt like the story focused more on the boy than being somewhat balanced. But this could change after I complete few more routes.
The length of the route felt quite short, and if it’s like this with the other characters as well, I can easily see my self finishing a route and entering a few chapters in with another character.
System:
The flow of the game is quite simple, after you pass the prologue the selection screen will show up:
And just choose from the available and start your chapters from there.
Only the first 4 are available, and as a guess the remainder 3 will unlock one by one after the first 4 has been cleared.
As you decide on a character and go through the chapters with the answers and actions, the Sweet Lover and Jealousy Lover meters will rise or fall:
And depending on how it’s sitting at the end of the story, you’d end up with the 3 types of Endings:
Marriage = Happy End
Twilight = Normal End
Destiny = Sad/Bad End
There’s also a Special Scenario section in the game, and from what I’ve seen in Shiina’s scenario, it’s a situation scenario with touch effects. I don’t know if all the characters would share the same theme but for Shiina it was a Sleeping situation.
If you are familiar with Diabolik Lovers VanDead Carnival, the theme is pretty much the Sleeping Vampire situation.
Characters:
All the boys seem like they have good intentions, I don’t sense any bad or dangerous intentions from them so far, and it just really feels like they just got together and decided on a big outing or a holiday to Earth instead of what exactly they came for...
Of course, taking out Tsukasa and Hidaka since I don’t really know what they’re like because they didn’t really pop in the screen as much as others during my first route.
I do have some certain expectations of Subaru, Tsukasa and Hidaka later on, but I’ll see how the first 4 are like for now. I at least hope they are very different from the other boys.
Just to mention some misc info, the characters eyes do blink, and their mouths to open and close while they speak. So if you like to take screen shots of scenes or characters, just a heads up.
Music:
I think I quite enjoyed the BGMs used in this game. it wasn’t too heavy or too cheery but somewhere along the middle, but it still supported the image and the emotion that the scenes portrayed throughout the game.
Art:
This is my first time playing a game with characters designed by Karu, who is the artist that designed the characters for Meiji Tokyo Renka, and so far I really like how they designed all the characters.
They all look adorable and I really like that she added a small white star in each eye for the characters in the game.
Personally, I really like stars, I really really really like stars. And when I saw this game I knew I wanted it because there were stars everywhere in the background, and literally when I started the game there were stars in every single screen. And I was just over the moon for this with the background.

???: As far as all of you go, you are poor choices due to your collective ignorance. That sort of union would be of no benefit to her.

???: … What is it? Is there something you would like to say to me?
???: No, it's nothing… I simply wasn’t expecting that from the well-behaved prince.
???: Now, now. Let's put an end to the bickering. It’s obvious that each of us would like to win the princess for ourselves.

Kirara: Are you going home now? Let's walk together.

Hikari: (And this girl… or boy, rather, is Mion Kirara-chan. We go to school together and are even in the same grade.)

Kirara: Watching the moon again?
Hikari: Yeah…
Kirara: There have been more opportunities to see it lately.
^ Probably actually supposed to mean, “You’ve been doing that more often lately.”
Hikari: Somehow, looking at the moon really relaxes me.
Kirara: You say that, but your eyes still look so sad. Is the incident from after school still bugging you?
Hikari: Yeah… I’m actually pretty sure strange things have been happening a lot more lately.
Hikari: Plus, they’ve been becoming more and more drastic.
Kirara: Stop right there! It’s all in your imagination.
Hikari: Hm…
Kirara: Oh, I know! Wanna make a wish on a star?
Hikari: Huh?
Kirara: You can ask the stars to, “please get rid of my troubles.” It’d be much better than keeping that depressing expression!

Please keep in mind that I’m not a professional or even good translator; I’m only doing this as practice. I have to mostly rely on listening to the voice acted parts and parsing text with the Google Translate picture app in conjunction with lots of JP dictionaries. Read at your own discretion.
Text I’m extremely unsure about will be italicized. I’ll also come back to edit my translations occasionally and without notice.
For translations of the Otomate informational website, they’ve already been done by several people. I recommend checking out riebakkari’s since they’ve also done the character profiles.
Misc. notes:
- Kirara is an otokonoko, but I’ll be referring to him as a crossdresser for the sake of simplicity.
- If you don’t already know who Kaguyahime is, Google it. It’s a cool story, anyway.
- Name spellings are taken from the official website. Characters without official romanizations or who use nicknames will be up to my discretion (ie, Catherine’s nickname being Cari).
- I consider scene changes to be when the game changes backgrounds.
