Marine Cadieux- my character! the Cornerstone (unwillingly), the rebellious eldest daughter of a powerful House, who wants to strike out and join the musketeers. Magnanimous but foolhardy. Protected by Yvette, flirtatious with her and Gabriel. (ot3 for me by the end)
Yvette Alarie- the Rookie, a new cadet who started as a stage fighter. Capable, Vigilant, and Dangerous. Worked as a bodyguard for Marine, where she met and fell for Fabienne.
Gabriel Laurent- the Veteran, a musketeer for over a decade. Steadfast, valorous, and surprisingly easily flustered. Childhood friends with Marine, had a falling out with Alexander.
Fabienne De la Court- the Confidante, an illegitimate daughter of a Duke who trades in secrets and scandals. Clever, Scheming, and Useful. She and Alexander are frequent collaborate, and Marine has caught her eye…
Count Alexander Giresse- the Shadow, a court-savvy mercenary with connections to the Cardinal. Meticulous, Daring, and Vindictive. Former friends with Gabriel, a collaborator with Fabienne.
