Hello! Did you ever get an ask about transphobic janus in your punk AU? It was awhile ago and I completely forgot I sent it.
While this isn't what I originally said, I wanted to know if he is still transphobic? Or if you've acknowledged that making him transphobic in a *punk* AU is weird?
That’s a very good question!
Basically, when I first introduced Deceit, I had no intention of making him, like... an *actual* character. I just wanted to draw his design lol. So my original intention was to make him a 2-dimensional antagonist. A fake punk who’s just an ambiguous bully and that’s it.
But of course, my brain couldn’t leave it at that. Even before he was redeemed in the canon series, I couldn’t help but think about what sort of background would create a character like him, and how he could feasibly turn his life around. Before I knew it, I found myself projecting a lot of my own uncomfortable truths onto him.
So NOW, the way I view his character is leaning more into the “lying to yourself” aspect of deceit as opposed to strictly lying to others. His story is about being raised in a toxic environment and being instilled with harmful viewpoints and the struggle of choosing between the easy path of lying to yourself and passively agreeing with your family because they’re your family, and the difficult path of walking away from them in order to grow into a better person.
Side note: I’ve mentioned this before, but I want to reiterate that Deceit’s “tragic backstory” is NOT what makes him a “sympathetic character”. He redeems himself by actually putting in the work to change his ways and learn to be better.
That was a very long-winded answer lol but I hope that explains a bit! <3

Run Away With Me
Pairing: Loceit
Warning: Smoking mention, making out, but that’s about it?
Word Count: 572
(The small word count is why this is going here instead of on ao3.)
Daimon didn’t smoke, despite what everyone at school may have thought when they saw his piercings and tattoos and leather. It wasn’t something he enjoyed.
Wasn’t the only reason, though. No, the other reason was when he was together with Logan, he didn’t want his breath smelling (or tasting for that matter) like ass. Didn’t want to feel Logan’s nose scrunch up in distaste when he kissed him, didn’t want to be pushed away until he brushed his teeth to get out a taste that likely wouldn’t go away.
No, he wanted to be right where he was right now, straddling Logan’s lap, his hands firmly against the back of the couch behind his boyfriend while his tongue was firmly tasting the others mouth.
Btw, here's my vaguely punk Deceit thing so far.

Remus and Deceit are the very punk, hardcore couple with tattoos and piercing, and look like they’ll punch someone if they look at them wrong. But they both softies when they’re alone and often have soft, sweet sex.
