Imagine for a moment, that you have an evil historical figure who has committed like a bonch of genocides and then you invent a time machine, go back in time and you have to punish him some how in some cruel way that doesnt destroy the space time continuum.

So you reach into your pocket and you pull out a chocolate bar, and an idea dons on you! Tyrant: "What is that?" Scientist dude: "Its a special treat, have a taste." Tyrant takes the smooth package feeling the softness of the interior as the scientist rubs his hands together maniacally. Tyrant: "This... is... food?" Scientist: *nods furiously* "Its a... uh... special treat sire." The Tyrants opens the smooth package and sees a brown milky substance almost reminding him of the interior of a pastry, he puts it to his lips and takes a bite.

There was a long moment as the tyrant paused, the scientist waited hopeful.

Tyrant explodes with emotion: "This is incredible, what is it?"

Scientist: "It is Chocolate, and now it will not exist for another 3000 years."

And that kids is how alchemy was born.

Anyone see the Punkeydoodles8 short about the idea of a princess being accidentally locked in a wizard tower?

Idea based on that: a princess is curious about a tower that old stories say previous princesses were trapped in within the setting, so she just wanders in.

Then the tower itself traps her. So she has to delve deeper and deeper under the tower to discover its secrets, which may include things like a connection of royal blood to the royal family and the court wizards, as well as the previous “princesses” having become extremely powerful wizards that test every princess who has ever been trapped there.

Oh, and make it a roguelite, with the princess learning an evac spell that returns her to the ground floor VERY early on.
