Sometimes, when someone says you’ve laid an egg, it is a good thing!

The last three eggs in the shot are from the Pyncheon girls, their first ever eggs! Tiny hens, tiny eggs. (The eggs at the top are regular medium size eggs, and the center eggs are from the Ameraucana bantams.)

The new girls on the block. No seed left unpecked.

The Pyncheons have started laying, smol hens = smol eggs. But look at the size difference! One of the girls is laying tiny eggs, while someone is laying much bigger eggs! And then there is the colour difference.... which at first I attributed to first eggs because they can be a bit different. But this is what I am finding consistently. Are the Creves starting to lay? Is that the larger of the eggs here? I haven’t seen either of them even glance at a nest box, but ....
