RWBY Winter Tales

The Crimson Shinigami

Ruby looked out of her window as the fog crept up. It was getting late and she still hadn't heard anything from Pyrrha yet.

Ruby: Where could she be?

[Argus City]

Pyrrha stood face to face in front of large, dragon-like Hollow. She drew her Zanpakutō and rushed in for the attack.

Pyrrha: Hiyahh!!!

She sliced the Hollow across its neck, making it screech in pain. But Pyrrha knew that these monsters were persistent and that attack was more of an annoyance to them. She kept her guard up for the retaliation as the Hollow used its claws to slash at her, blocking each strike with ease. It tried to use its tail as a weapon, furiously thrashing it about. Pyrrha swiftly dodged it and cut it off in a clean blow. The Hollow snarled and dashed at Pyrrha with intense speed. She readied her Zanpakutō, taking a deep breath to strike at the perfect moment. The Hollow bared its fangs at her and lunged. But it was too late. With one swift cut to its mask, it was defeated and landed on the floor with a hard thud. Pyrrha sheathed her sword and clasped her hands together as the Hollow disappeared in white light, purified of its sins. Pyrrha looked around saw her gigai lying aginst a tree.

Pyrrha: *nervous laugh* I really need to be careful where I put that.

[Pyrrha's house]

Ruby opened the door as she heard a knock, and found Pyrrha holding a bouquet of roses.

Pyrrha: Hehe, I'm sorry for being late. I hope you didn't start dinner without me.

Ruby: *rolls eyes* You're lucky you're cute. *chuckles and kisses her*

So I literally joined the RWBY fandom in the name of Pyrruby, fun fact

these are some older drawings that I made, which is why they’re pretty sloppy and differently-styled than my current work

but I figured I should share them! gotta get that Pyrruby shipper’s cred lmao

This is another older Pyrruby piece! I made this when my brain was all juiced up on dramatic music...I actually have a whole playlist I originally started working on whilst drawing this piece, called “carry me through the fire” because I’m a dramatic gay.

not sure what exactly’s happening here other than Ruby is saving her GF from something

no no I bet I can think of a scenario...

So the reason Ruby’s trudging slowly while carrying Pyrrha is because they’re both out of Aura

they were fighting a bunch of Grimm, or maybe some of Salem’s agents, and though they won, fire started spreading until the entire city block they’re on and then some is on fire

and they’re inside a building

Pyrrha is completely exhausted from fighting like a demon, and Ruby is similarly exhausted but has slightly more energy because her semblance makes her adrenaline-rush even more potent (which results in a harder crash later so tradeoffs lol)

and so Ruby, seeing the fire start to close in, picks Pyrrha up, grits her teeth, and starts walking as fast as her dead-tired legs will let her

Until they both dramatically emerge from the fire and smoke to the streets outside

I could like, actually write up prose, but I’m tired right now and my arm hurts (I got the second dose of my vaccine, which is fantastic, but also ow) so we’ll see about maybe later

Pyrrruby is a decent ship, I think. I’d like to see more fan art and fan fics of it. All in all, I like it.
