Edward

Edward is what some might call pathologically unobservant

Being able to read minds means he's constantly drowning out the menial thoughts of everyone around him, so you'll forgive him if he doesn't notice you immediately

He will notice you quickly once he realises that compared to everyone else your mind is like a soothing, quiet oasis. He will then notice just how stunning you are

And frankly, the rest of the high school agrees with him, you're a total babe! Edward is used to having people fawn over him and he's not sure how to handle all the attention suddenly being on you

Once he works up the courage to finally go talk to you, he decides he's quite okay with being your equal

Jasper

Jasper doesn't register your immunity until you're beating him in a civil war trivia kahoot quiz and he decides to make you dizzy to inhibit you

When he realises that you're still winning, he tries to make you miserable in case it was an accident. When you continue to merrily beat his score, that's when alarm bells start to ring

Jasper is very insecure about his inability to control your emotions, it's not a power the rest of the Cullen's really respect and it's not like he can walk up to you and ask you why you're immune to his magical emotional manipulation

He prepares to glare a hole into the back of your head instead until you glance in his direction and he sees just how gorgeous you are

Well now it'll just be ungentlemanly of him if he doesn't congratulate your victory, no use being a sore loser after all

Alice

After school, Alice sees you cross the road without looking, and you unknowingly walk into the path of an oncoming car. She fully expects to see a vision of your head cracked open across the tarmac with the rest of your body mangled under the bumper. But it never comes.

In fact, no visions come. She looks towards you again to see the car screech to a halt just in front of you, as you reach the other side and apologize to the shouting driver.

Interesting, very interesting. She decides to test her powers on you the next day by focusing hard on what your math final scores would be. Again, nothing comes to her. Alice finds you after the results were posted to ask how you did, and you had gotten a 98. It was the last good grade you needed to get into your dream college, the best news you could've gotten this week.

Alice slowly comes to terms with the fact that your life and its events may be completely beyond her, that despite all the effort in the world she will have no warning on what may happen to you next, but she wishes you all the best regardless

Emmett

Emmett first notices you in the boys changing room. For totally heterosexual reasons of course

You were the new kid on the football team, and the coach was eager to join you even after tryouts

You were a wide receiver while Emmett was on tackle, you didn't get to talk much, but he loves grappling your fit, muscular body into the ground. Shame he might have to smack you in your pretty face, though

And hey, you were good. Not as good as him, obviously, but still good

He invites you to sit with him at lunch, to talk strategy, and to hang out as guy friends. Totally not a gay thing, haha, unless you want it to be...

Rosalie

Now Rosalie had to give credit where credit was due; you were super hot

But unlike all the other hot people at Forks High, you were not completely full of yourself

But Rosalie doesn't just give her respect to any hot mortal, she wants to see how you handle all the attention you get from everyone else

You seem to keep to yourself, for the most part, politely declining all the young women vying for your affection. Your popularity knew few bounds, as you were admired by both teachers and students alike

But you remained calm and reflective in every situation, being humble at every compliment and word of praise

Rosalie will consider making you her friend, people like you are very hard to find, even for immortals

It's like finding out that you're beloved pet hampster has canabalised her babies in the night, he's just not sure how terrified he should be

Fujin

You would easily be Fujin's favourite mortal, he loves how nice you are to people

When he sees you in Kombat, he's a little relieved

Kindness and sensitivity are so often brutally destroyed in this world, he's glad to see that you're made of stronger stuff

However there was no sensitivity when you stabbed that guy in the nuts

Liu Kang

You're a refreshingly pleasant person to be around, and Liu Kang greatly enjoys the time you spend together

But when a fight breaks out, he's quick to step in front of you, assuming you would need his protection

Liu Kang barely sees you as you speed past him in a blur of fists and fury

At some point, Kang just steps back and lets you finish off the fight, a small ocean of bodies pilling around his ankles, with a lot of newfound respect towards you

Raiden, Johnny Cage, liu kang, Kung Lao and fujin coming from the past (like in Mk11) and realizing that their s/o is a revenant but instead of acting angry like the rest, they are a pretty depressed revenant. (still fight with them anyways)

He had honestly never foreseen this future for you, and he apologises for all the pain and torment becoming a revenant has caused you

After defeating you in kombat, he promises to find another way that doesn't involve you becoming a revenant, but deep down he's worried about who else might become a revenant in your place

Liu Kang

He's completely heartbroken to see you as a revenant, even more upset than when he met his future revenant self

At first, he's confused by your sadness because most revenants are angry. But then he learns that after the death of his revenant form, he had finally broken his promise to never abandon you. Now you'd lost the one thing you needed to be happy, himself.

Kung Lao

Lao is rightly mortified that you'd become a revenant

What does anger him is that after all you had been through in this future together that his revenant self breaks up with you, leaving you to suffer as a revenant by yourself

He first promises to kill his revenant self and he then promises to make sure you and he never become revenants or if that must happen that he'll never leave you

A divine challenge ~ Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Raiden

Kung Lao was ditching his chores again, nothing new there. What was new was that he had decided to hide in the long grass outside of the Shaolin Temple, the grass that he was supposed to be cutting. Normally Lao hid somewhere like the pantry or the library, places where he had easy access to food or where he could have a nap without anyone noticing. It was especially easy to dodge his chores for today because Liu Kang was busy with Raiden’s visit and wouldn’t have the time to chase him down for being lazy. Lao lay in the tall, dry summer grass, nibbling on a vegetable dumpling that he had swiped from the kitchen. Ironically, his friendship with Liu Kang meant very few other monks in the Temple were comfortable in confronting Lao, so he could largely get away with whatever he liked, including taking extra food. But he didn’t want to take the chance that Kang, or even worse, Raiden, might catch him slacking off, so in the grass he remained.

The summer months meant a lot of things for the Shaolin Temple. It meant that meals and snacks were more frequent and less fires would need to be prepped. For Kung Lao, this meant more bugs flying in his face, eager to catch a crumb of his dumpling. Swatting them away with his arm, Lao cursed quietly, all this nature wasn’t helping him hide away. Deciding that he could no longer take the buzzing around his face, he crawled towards the edge of the grass, which overlooked a small, wooded glade. Shaolin beliefs stated that only the necessities should be taken from nature and even in desperation should never be taken in excess. So many of the lands surrounding the Temple were havens for local wildlife, annoying bugs included. Lao was sure he wouldn’t disturb any animals, though he was starting to feel like a lioness creeping through the long grass.

You were unaware of how close you were to the Shaolin Temple; the monks were rather secretive and it wasn’t marked on any maps you had. You had it on good authority that it was somewhere nearby, but you hadn’t noticed any sign of human activity. Thankfully, your ability to turn into animals meant that you could blend in perfectly if you chose to. It was your habit to travel around the countryside living off of the land around you, subsisting on berries, wild wheats and meat that you hunted. Due to your distance from ‘modern’ society, clean water for drinking and bathing was never hard to find, especially in the mountains. It so happened that you had just finished bathing and had gone towards a wooded glade to dry off. Some people may frown upon being naked in the woods, but in your relative isolation, it was perfectly natural. What wasn’t natural was the rustling you heard from the nearby long grass, alongside the tell-tale sign of birds flying in the opposite direction. Fuck, you couldn’t see what it was, you start to panic. To hide your naked humanoid presence, you quickly changed into a rabbit. You remained stock-still and hoped that a predator wasn’t sneaking towards you.

When Lao stuck his head out of the grass, he managed to finally finish off the last of his dumpling in peace. As he finished, he glanced around the little glade, before spotting a rabbit looking directly at him. Strange, normally a rabbit would’ve run away by now. “Hello!” he says, around a mouth full of dumpling, giving a little wave. The rabbit remained motionless; Lao might’ve thought it was dead if it wasn’t blinking. Poor little thing must be frightened, Lao thought, sitting up onto his knees. For a few minutes a pregnant silence fell between Lao and this rabbit as they looked at each other. With his curiosity getting the better of him, Lao shuffled towards the rabbit. When he was within arm’s reach, he paused again. The rabbit did not move, but seemed to be shaking slightly. Gently, Lao reached his hand out and delicately brushed along the rabbit’s fur. The shaking stopped. Lao peered down at the rabbit once more, “You’re a very brave little rabbit, friend. Your fur is so very soft!” he said in a high-pitched voice. The stroking continued for a while longer.

You had no idea where this interaction was going, however you did not expect this strange man to be petting you. Perhaps it wasn’t too late to run away, you were starting to feel awkward. Before you could plot your escape, the man scooped you up into his arms, petting you all the while. “I wonder if you’re a girl rabbit or a boy rabbit?” Lao says as he lifts you up and squints between your back legs. “Hmmm,” he says after some time “I have no idea. Maybe I’ll call you Mr Rabbit regardless!” he places you back in his lap, cradling you with one arm and stroking you with the other. Now feeling slightly violated, you think it may be time to bite this guy and make your escape. Before your little front teeth could render flesh, you were quickly scooped up into his chest. “I’m gonna take you to see my friends!” Lao says excitedly.

You perk your long ears up as your monocular eyes darted around wildly. As what must be the Shaolin Temple comes into sight, you think to yourself that this situation can’t get any worse. Kung Lao carries you through the grand entrance, before scurrying down some hallways and entering a solemn meeting room. Inside the room was what appeared to be another monk chatting to a cloaked figure which didn’t seem to be of this world. They both turn towards the man holding you, without noticing your presence.

“Kung Lao? What is it? Is it important?” Liu Kang says, standing up. The cloaked figure also stands, revealing a glowing set of white eyes under his broad hat.

“Look what I found,” Lao responds, gesturing to you in his arms as he pets you “This rabbit is so friendly, I’m convinced it’s used to being around humans. Perhaps it’s a pet that escaped! Please, we must keep it!” Lao begged.

Liu Kang throws an apologetic glance at the glowing-eyed man, before turning back to Kung Lao “Where did you find it?” he says with a tone that implies he’ll regret asking.

“In the glade beyond the grass. But c’mon! Look at it, isn’t it cute! I named it Mr Rabbit.” Kung Lao said, holding you out in front of him for the others to get a better look.

Liu Kang gently offers the back of his hand for your twitchy little nose to sniff, before going to give your head a rub. “It is a very cute rabbit” Liu Kang sighs in defeat as he continues petting you.

But the glowing-eyed man regards you with a concerning amount of interest, like he sees right through your rabbit-disguise. “I believe Mr Rabbit would be a fine addition to the Shaolin Temple, more than we may yet realise.” He spoke with a deep voice echoing some kind of divine reverb. Oh no, the man must be some kind of god.

“Lord Raiden?” both Lao and Kang turn to him in confusion.

“I shall leave you two with our newest guest, I suggest you make Mr Rabbit comfortable for the time being.” Raiden advises as he steps out of the room an vanishes down the hallway.

As Kung Lao and Liu Kang exchange looks, you realise that the god Raiden expects you to come out of hiding in some form or another. Well, perhaps your days of hiding have come to an end. After all, what kind of rabbit would turn down a god?

If you're stretching out over the couch, he'll just maneuver around you so he can sit down and eat his snack

There was an incident when your toes nearly went into his pot noodles so now he enforces a strict 12 inch foot-to-food gap policy whenever you're stretching near him

Kabal

He's alarmed anyone's body can bend like that in such a way that seems completely natural to you

The last thing he'd be doing in that position is going through his phone, unless its to call an ambulance

And then he finds out that stretching hurts you sometimes. It hurts? It can actively cause you pain? And you still do it?? He'll never really understand

Erron Black

"Now, there ain't no way that's comfortable", he's fond of saying when he sees you stretch

Erron can just about touch his toes and scrub his back in the shower, he doesn't consider flexibility beyond that to be all that useful

He doesn't hide his discomfort if your leg clicks loudly while stretching, it's like he feels the pain more than you do, to be honest

Fujin has the same system for dealing with your violent alter ego as one would deal with a feral kitten

Whenever you start getting 'spicy' he'll put you in the designated 'spicy s/o cage' until you calm down

As you're hissing and trying to claw at him, he's just patting you with a protective glove on to try and calm you down

Liu Kang

Starts looking into what sort of religious practitioner he has to call to get this violent spirit out of you permanently

Kang as a Buddhist will begin with reciting the paritta but if that doesn't work then he'll expand into whatever else he might know

In Taoism, possession is believed to be caused by a disturbed or summoned ghost, so he might hire some Fashi priests to exorcise you

Hanzo Hasashi

He's no stranger to being possessed by a violent spirit so he kind of gets it, I mean he can't judge

If you're only using your hands to kill him, then he'll just set himself on fire until it passes. Thankfully, the spirit possessing you isn't very intelligent

If he's in a place where he can't be on fire, then he just kind of holds you back with a broom while he gets on with his day, again the spirit isn't very intelligent

Raiden loves you and wants to stay with you, but he is in no position to give up on Earthrealm, which he is sworn to protect

When you say that you're done with him, he lets you walk away. Perhaps this is the price he pays for Earthrealm, he thinks to himself

If he notices you smiling at someone else, he'll force his bitterness down, and won't say anything. He knows that the safety of Earthrealm is worth abandoning true love

Dark!Raiden

Raiden has lost so much already, and now even you will abandon him?

With Shinnok's amulet, he is stronger than ever, yet you would forsake him and his devotion because you don't like Earthrealm? Raiden is furious, when you tell him that you're done with him, you are met with angry screams and a violent lightning storm

If you refuse to come back to Earthrealm, then Raiden will bring Earthrealm to you. He will begin an aggressive campaign to subject all other realms to the superiority of himself and Earthrealm

At this point, nothing can be done to placate the darkness inside his heart, if he sees you smile at someone else, that person will be killed. He considers it your punishment for being stupid enough to reject his love
