It’s for me so far their best pastry stout!!! On the nose, the rasberry is well present as the chocolate and vanilla! #Repost @_crookedhat_ ・・・ L'OKTOBERFEST SE POURSUIT 🥨 Avec la Märzen de @piebraquemicrobrasserie Lorsque l'ont pense au merveilleux festival qu'est l'Oktoberfest, on pense souvent à un "gros bock" (Un Stein) de bière blonde qui descend bien et qui offre une amertume peu élevé. Et bien qu'encore de nos jours ce genre de bière est emblématique, il n'en a pas toujours été ainsi. En fait, ce n'est que depuis les années 50 que les blondes de soif telles que les Helles et les Pilsner ont pris le premier plan au sein de l'Oktoberfest. Auparavant, c'était le style des Märzen qui fesait figure de proue pour le festival Allemand de Munich Les Märzen sont semblables aux Helles et aux Pilsner en ce sens qu'elles demeurent encrées dans les "bières de soif. Si on voulait effectuer un comparaison grossière, on pourrait dire que les Märzen sont des "Rousses de Soif". Ce que @piebraquemicrobrasserie est assez traditionnel. On a une belle bouche maltée sans pour autant être lourde. C'est rafraîchissant et l'aspect "caramel" qu'on associe souvent aux bières de robes rousses est assez discret. C'est pour vrai un peu dangereux à boire et je regrette de ne pas avoir un pretzel et de la moutarde forte pour accompagné cela. The team brought back Black Is Beautiful for Black History Month for Link Up, this time with vanilla, cacao nibs and roasted coconut. Coming in at 10%, it pours jet black and hella thick with a deep espresso head and dark chocolate on the nose, the body is like motor oil with tons of dusty, liquorice vibes, the chocolate is definitely the feature flavour here with some subtle sweet vanilla and coconut in the back end, there’s tons of coffee bitterness, it’s boozy and strong yet very drinkable, smooth yet intense, wrapping in a super dry, bitter dark chocolate finish. #6895 Sir John Intergalactique (Canada) Next up is this 7% NEIPA from SJ with Mosaic, Galaxy and Cryo Pop (not sure what this hop is, haven’t heard of this one), and she’s wicked. It pours hazy with a foamy head and a tropical nose, the body is hella smooth and creamy, there’s passion fruit vibes alongside some zesty citrus, it’s green and bitter with big hop burn notes, balanced sweetness, sticky and herbaceous, wrapping in a dry, chalky finish.
