so i just realized something, and i need other people input. In the U.S., in elementary school, did anyone else have a whole thing where the police showed up every year and got every kids fingerprints to “keep you safe and help the police find you if you get kidnapped’? because looking back at it that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and i have a terrifying suspicion it might have been because we were a poor neighborhood and a black community with like, maybe half a dozen white kids at the school total. I would love to be wrong, so if anyone else had this experience?

So my black friend was at a bar tonight and the police took him out of the bar because he looks like a wanted murderer.
