A Tempio Pausania, esattamente sotto "La Fonte Nuova" dove durate l'estate si prende il fresco guardando verso Aggius e i suoi monti, c'è un negozio di dischi che si chiama Olimpo. Al suo interno incontrerete Loris, uno dei Braveheart che continuano a resistere alla crisi discografica, alla disattenzione generale e fa uno dei lavori più belli e allo stesso tempo tra i più difficili, vende musica e non solo, affitta film e regala i suoi consigli e la sua conoscenza in base a quello che volete ascoltare o vi piace vedere. Quando ero ragazzino, e mi trovavo a Tempio andavo ogni volta che potevo, e quando riuscivo ad avere dieci o quindicimila lire passavo un sacco di tempo li dentro a scegliere quale sarebbe potuto essere l'investimento migliore da fare. Loris era sempre pronto a darmi un consiglio e ad indirizzarmi verso quello giusto, cosi quel disco diventava parte integrante della mia vita per 3,6 mesi o un anno intero. Li consumavo letteralmente e aspettavo di riuscire a guadagnare di nuovo la cifra necessaria per poter ascoltare della nuova musica. Oggi in quegli scafali di cui ho contribuito all'usura e di cui ricordo il profumo, trovate dei dischi che hanno delle piccole radici piantate anche li! (dedicated to my father) Milan, one day in June. I had just returned from Sardinia, still shaken by the loss of my father. I find my guitar but no will to play it and a need to call home. I make the call and chat to my sisters, my brother and my mother, but someone was missing…. so, after hanging up with that feeling inside me, I pick up my guitar and imagine the phone call that never happened, and the notes burst out of me. I would have told him about the next tour, the latest reviews, the projects I had finished and those I was about to begin and I am sure that, with his reassuring smile, he would have told me: “If you are happy, then it’s ok”.
