I have so many things to say about Rakuyo arc, but for now, I wanna talk about Sakamoto x Takasugi

Even if Gintoki and Zura know him best and share deeper bonds with him, considering how Zura was his first/closest friend and Gintoki was his rival/alter ego, I love his relationship with Tatsuma so much!

All these years later and he still considers them to be friends and was the first to jump into the whole "Finding Nemo Saving Sugi" plan.

Not once did he doubt him, not once did he give up on him, not once did her forget about their friendship. He disregarded the potential differences Sugi has with the rest of the Joui 4, and rushed to his aid, because no "childish" different can destroy the bonds these four created.

And this goes both ways, from what we can see. Takasugi was also the first one to rush to Tatsuma's aid when he got injured in the war, minor-scolding him for not taking better care of himself. He even went after the one who injured him (with Gin), asking Tatsuma to leave the petty battles to him since he loves those.

Like seriously, where is the Takasugi who only cares for himself and sees everyone as pawns? He obviously cared and STILL cares about his comrades and those he deems his friends. When they reunited to fight together, he even smiled because of seeing them fight side by side for the same goal once again.

I could say much more but I've only watched up to episode 6 of this arc, so I won't go any deeper than this for now, but these two have a great friendship that gets overshadowed by everything that's going on. Takasugi's relationship with Gintoki, Katsura, Bansai and Kamui gets more screentime and understandably so, but Sakamoto x Takasugi is precious, nonetheless.

Even if Tatsuma isn't the strongest fighter of the Joui 4, he remains the glue that keeps them together years after. He is such an amazing character, for real, and everyone needs a friend who'd never give up on them, just like Tatsuma doesn't give up on his friends.

p.s. I am loving this arc soooooo much, Joui 4 getting back was more hyped than a potential Destiny's Child reunion LMAO and Takasugi is absolutely *chef's kiss* in this arc. I'm squealing so hard every time he appears he is simply amazing.

I understood it a long time ago That you can never hate some villain on this Anime cause…. once you knew there fkn flashback the hate you feel will disappear… Yeah i know that damn well… Im expecting this…. Ps i love kamui from the very start even though i knew that his a villain 😄😍. Also from the start i dont feel the hate from takasugi’s char. 😆😆
