y'all, city boy blasting "take me to church ' by hozier on the way back home from his parents house not only because the song is what it is,but because for the longest time he used to play it/request it to be played in their local church

at least not that city boy knows of

but Jethro knows, he's been there one Saturday, he saw him, young adult, playing the song,he thought the boy was as clueless as everyone else thinking the song was a Christian song

but then he noticed it, that smirk, that little look of rebellion that appeared as the lyrics started booming through the sound system,

Jethro hid his smirk and took a seat in the back.. it's been years since he set foot in a church, even longer since doing so willingly,but hey he's not one to miss people making fools of themselves especially if the one who's behind the plan is someone as pretty as that cityslicker

Jethro would never tell him about that memory though, letting the younger man have his moment

soo i just found this sorta study where a bunch of ppl were in one place n turned out that county folk formed social bonds,while the city peeps just sat quietly and it was because of their environments,where to show your appreciation for someone, county folk would give you the time of day,the effort to come n see n talk your ear off , while city folk would give you space, because in the city everyone's is in everyone's bubble n to show appreciation they try not to bother you as not to drain your social battery even futher

n i just imagine how much city boy suffered with this difference in treatment for showing people that you like them n appreciate them

because imagine

cb: sitting quietly making a note as to not stare at Mathew n not make him feel like he's being watched n judged

Mathew who came from all across the barn just to talk to him to cb doesn't seem to like him that much n he's awful quiet

International Women's Day!

Hats off to the women who are proud to be women and don't have to wear a vagina hat to prove it. I recently read that one out of every seven farms is managed by a woman. So to the women that spend midnight hours in calving barns, get up early to feed bottle calves, run combines, tractors and grain trucks at harvest, deal with paperwork, drive feedtrucks, ride pens, raise kids and to those that work a job in town even though they'd rather be on the farm THANK YOU!

You never get enough representation, credit, recognition and certainly never the wages you deserve. Without you women of strong hearts, able minds and tired bodies rural America would certainly fail. You are amazing.

Especially my beautiful wife!
