send me five times kissed for a drabble about five times our muses kissed
someone you have not met before or do not know
He’s in his second year and all he’s had to drink is three or four pints of butterbeer, but Bertie is already stumbling around, telling everyone that he can fly.
Ros comes down to the Ravenclaw common room, probably to grab a book she left behind or something like that. Bertie sees her and seizes the opportunity.
“Hey, you should uh, you should join the party,” Bertie exclaims, his voice too loud even over the music blasting from speakers magically modified to boost volume. “We just, we just beat Slyth-rin! You should be celebrating with us!” With that, Bertie presses a sloppy kiss to her cheek and puts a plate of sweets in her hands.
There’s nothing scarier than a boy who feels invincible.
someone who is known but who is not a close friend
Two years later, Bertie has long since forgotten about his first real encounter with Rosalind MacDougal. He’s forgotten most nights like that one though, and he’ll forget this one too, hiding from Mrs. Norris with his hands on the small of Ros’ back.
He won’t remember kissing her, won’t remember sneaking back to Ravenclaw Tower with her, but he will remember the thrill at the pit of his stomach, and feeling like he could fly.
a partner in a romantic or sexual relationship
Bertie kisses Ros at breakfast one morning, and even though it isn’t that much of a big deal for the two of them, it’s their first public display of affection and they’re met by raised brows and knowing smirks. Caradoc Dearborn winks at Bertie and he winks right back.
one that formerly held a specified position or place
Fidgety. Bertie’s starting to get fidgety. He can think of a million ways “Rostram” can go wrong and he cares for Ros way too much as a person to drag things out.
It’s a clean break. He gives her back the books that had piled up in the boys’ dormitory, and she gives him back his earbuds, two shirts, and a piece of twine. They kiss a final time, mainly because Bertie has no clue what else to do, and Ros is the one to pull away first.
He realizes that he no longer knows who, between the two of them, is letting the other one go.
a person you like and enjoy being with
Post Summerset, Bertie finds Ros perched on a blanket at the Astronomy Tower. The fear is wearing off, but so is the adrenaline, so Bertie crumples to the floor next to her and closes his eyes.
They end up talking about menial things, teachers and homework and new spells. It takes both of their minds off the future, even if it’s just for that one moment.
Before he leaves, Bertie kisses her on the temple “for good luck”. Both of them know it won’t change much if anything he’s the one getting good luck from her but his intentions are good and he knows she knows that.
