Isaac Hauser and Marjane Yilmaz met briefly while undergraduates at Massachusetts Bay University. The two instantly hit it off and became close friends. Sadly, not long after the after the culmination of the Resource Wars, Marji was forced to return home to Istanbul after her father Osman was indicted for crimes against the state. Hauser resumed his academic prowess at CIT in Cambridge while attempting to fund his tuition working as an intern for General Atomics International. Marji, unable to save her father and now trapped within the bureaucratic means of travelling out of the war-torn country, reached out to Isaac for help. Amidst substantial protest from Hauser’s family the two eloped for a chance to be together again. Having spent their combined savings to bring Marji into the US, Hauser dropped out of school and started to work full-time for West Tek after receiving numerous commendation from colleagues at General Atomics and professors at CIT. Over time, circumstances started to look up for the pair. Marji was able to conclude her studies while bussing tables. Isaac finished up his degree in mechanical engineering back at CIT and began his Masters in civil engineering.
Of course, happiness is rarely sustainable. The invasion of Anchorage and Hauser’s first hand experience with working on the T-45d PA suits already deployed made him the perfect candidate to be conscripted for service. But that’s a whole other story to be told.
