i’ve already met my reading goal for the year!! i’ve read 52 books so far! now my (very lofty) goal is 100, we’ll see how this goes!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I finished The Night Prince by Lauren Palphreyman and honestly I really really loved this one more than The Wolf King.I loved the character Blake the most,I loved his character and just how much you can tell how much he loves Aurora.Even if it's from the sidelines.
I hope Aurora and Blake are endgame in the final book because I will cry if she ends up with Callum.I liked Callum's character in the first book,he was really sweet and loved Rory but I feel like in The Night Prince he was a lot less understanding about the situation Rory was in with Blake.I feel like he was quick to judge and just assumed things without even asking questions and got jealous way to easily.
I really preferred Blake because I feel like he was actually in this book trying to protect Rory and keep her safe. While he did a few questionable things i do feel like he was actually trying to protect Rory.So team Blake all the way 😆 🤣

93, 94, and 95/100! 📚🧶
I ended up having to play a bit of catch-up, my motivation level has been in the approximate whereabouts of hell the last few days. 😅
Not a single one of these was a five star read for me, but if I had to single one out as the most enjoyable, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur would be it. I’ve been wanting to read Lunella’s story for a while now, and needing a dino themed book for my summer reading bingo was the perfect excuse. I’ll be making a square for the second volume before too long, I’m sure.
As for The Book of Murmurs and Mythos, all I can really say is that I expected more. 🤷🏼 Murmurs was very imaginative, so much so that I found the story hard to follow, and Mythos was just dry. I was dragging myself to the end in both cases, which I think can at least partly be blamed on the state of my brain. But not entirely. 😅🫣
Maybe I should have been more ambitious
Similar set up but my supervisor Rukia is on break, will write on my phone and in intervals, too hot to have electronics outside ☀️
Half year check in for my reading goals
I already read 32 books by 01st July, I am doing very well on my pages goal and I am also on track with my listening goal.
Reread challenge: also right on schedule. It is great fun, I confirmed some 4 and 5-star reads but sadly found one book that did not hold up.
Books read off my physical tbr : There's definitely room for improvement here, as I only read one (and disliked it) and started two more, which I am still not even halfway through.
July 11-18 Goals
The heat has been a real bummer this past week, but it's supposed to get slightly better this week. 🤞 Let's hope between that and spending the weekend resting my shoulder that I can get back to work on what all I'd like to get through in this new week.
Before I get to my weekly goals, I'm going to be changing things up a little bit. Some may be already aware this account isn't my main like it was before, so you may or may not have seen glimpses of said main (also linked in intro).
Going forward, I think I'm going to post both blogs' goals lists together in separate posts but similar formats to better show what I'm working on. That way, you can also figure out which blog is getting maybe a bit more attention at any given time.
Okay, let's get into this...
For this week here on @callalillywrites, I hope to:
Finish queuing up all my older stories
Start work on an older request and the remaining Fluffcember prompts I didn't finish last year
Watch the movies of some characters I've been thinking about adding to my masterlist lineup
Build up and start working way through reading list
And for this week here on @deathknightvellinaria, I hope to:
Put several more older stories in my drafts to queue up
Finally start and try to finish this week the final story in Kirsten Weir's Ruby Red Trilogy
Set up a prompt list for requests that center around monster-lover stories
Build up and start working way through reading list
I'm hoping to start my week here on callalillywrites but end on deathknightvellinaria. We'll see how it goes though.
