About mental illnesses, again
You know when you speak a second language and people doubt you? Like, you tell them you learnt it and explain how you did. Then they start questioning you and giving you random words to translate, asking how do you spell or say that word. Then, catching you off guard, they give you something to translate, sometimes a whole text. And, if you don't know how to or don't remember, they get all victorious, as if they had caught you lying. Then, if you try to justify yourself, it gets even worse, they won't believe you and even spread the word about your "lie".
My point is: why do we do the same to the ones with mental illnesses? Anxious, depressed, bipolar, borderline people get questioned about it all the time. Get a depressed person, then ask them to act happy for awhile. The first thing you'll see, if they've spread the word about it, is how people change traits. They will question then, things like "Aren't you depressed?", "Why are you so happy?" as if they had no right to feel a little bit better, you know?
I feel like we're so stuck with stereotypes that we simply ignore we're dealing with another human being there, that stereotypes shouldn't overcome the fact that the other has feelings too, think and act differently than we do, and we just become so selfish, so rude and careless about the other that we start hurting others, intentionally or not.
To the ones suffering from mental illnesses, listen to me: you're valid, and whatever you get to feel is only your business, and no one should be able to pick up at it or tell you what you should and shouldn't do/say/feel. As long as you're not intentionally hurting or invading someone's personal space, you're as valid as everyone else, and you're loved and needed. There are people out there to judge, but there are people out there to help and support you too. Just be strong. Don't let anyone overcome you as a human being or invalidate you and your problems.
To whoever romanticizes anxiety
Yeah, that's for you. If you don't know what it means, let me give you an overview: if you say anxiety is beautiful, or act like you have it (although all you have is a small worry about big things), or act in a way that shows anxiety as something good or desirable, you're romanticizing it.
If you romanticize it, I'm really sorry for you. You have no idea on what it feels like.
It's not cool to feel anxious just because you wore certain clothes to hang out. It's not cool to cry because you have an assignment to present to your class, although you studied it times enough to know everyone's part. It's not cool to be unable to breathe. It's not cool that you fake being okay so people won't let you. It's not cool having wounds or allergies or acne because you worry all time long. It's not good that drink a whole bottle of water because you feel your mouth dry because of something.
Do you have any idea of how horrible it feels to hear someone laughing and whispering and having the absolute sure it's because of you? Or arriving home with the urge of apologizing to the people you talk to that they have to put up with your awkwardness? It's horrible to cry and get breathless because of small shit like a hang out with friends. That's supposed to be fun, something that will help you to relax. Instead, there you are, changing clothes for the third time because you don't think it fits, or running from mirrors because you hate your reflex.
And to the people that live with anxiety everyday, I tell you you're a warrior, if no one did it today. If they did, I'll say it again. You put up with those horrible feelings, shake up intrusive thoughts, keep telling yourself you're needed, you're loved. And you are. Because I love you. You're a survivor. You're the strongest person ever. If people abandoned you, don't worry, you'll find better ones that really accept you for who you are. This is just an answer for when you ask God to spare you from bad company. That's what He's doing.
You're amazing. Thank you for showing to people like me, who are recently found with this parasite, this horrible mess, that we can learn how to deal and how to cope. You have a strength you don't even know of yet. Thank you

Having you gone these past couple of days gave me this realization that you will not be here in the fall. How weird it felt not seeing you around. Even though when we talk it isn’t for a long time, it still is nice having you around.
When you walked into the room my heart stopped. Either the beat was going faster or my pulse was going slower. It felt like it was going all over the place. I think at one moment my heart fell to my stomach. I am glad we can’t here heart beats unless you are up close, because other wise you would know how I feel.
And then when you re-made your entrance through the main door and burped… well that was something alright. Having you hover over me felt right. I felt safe, protected, comfortable. I know we do not have anything beside a good friendship going for ourselves, but if we ever became best friends I wouldn’t be upset.
