I’ll be performing in Home Away from Home (choreographed by @melissaaboode ) as a part of reasonsLegacy 4: I’mMigration x CYPHER: Homecoming (TICKET LINK IN BIO) #Repost @melissaaboode with @get_repost ・・・ Premiering "Home Away From Home" in Brooklyn, New York at the Reasons Legacy Festival March 1st & 2nd 7:30pm Actors Fund Theater ____________________________________________________________ Hiraeth is the word for homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was. Based on stories of families losing everything they build due to emigration, this piece is inspired by the poem “Home Away From Home” written by Melissa Boode. The goal is to take the audience on a personal journey. Translating a nostalgic feeling of memories from the past through poetry, movement, live violin music (by Qenu) and melodies (sung by Lindsey Hailes). To color in the words of the poem, this piece includes every cast member his/her story spoken through their artistic language.
