"Kagura." Ivan's voice was calm, masking his excitement. He had ordered this two months ago, but it just arrived today. "I have a gift for you." There was no special occasion, Ivan saw it and thought of her. The bag was on the smaller size, a purple color with white accents. Inside of it was a beautiful pink silk ribbon, decorated with flowers — imported directly from Sin. "I hope you enjoy it."
She lifted her head, pulling her golden gaze from the book before her and directing it to her father. Intrigue lit the young girl’s eyes, a smile forming as she got to her feet and moved closer to him. At the sight of the bag, a small gasp left her, and she took the gift with gentle hands. Her adoring fingers skimmed the material, smile only growing as she did so.
“It’s so pretty…”
Opening the bag, her eyes widened momentarily at the sight of the ribbon. Reverently, she withdrew it from the confines, excitement quite literally sparking from her as her magic created a show of static around her. She traced the flowers on the ribbon, then turned her eyes up.
“Thank you!” she said earnestly, then held the ribbon up, “Can you put it in my hair please, dad?”
the sound of her footsteps was swallowed by the soft forest floor, but she was quite distracted herself---going to visit her uncle's 'grave' was never an easy walk, but it was one she took now and then. it was what he deserved, as far as she was concerned. she never knew what to expect, this close to magnolia, but this---this was something she had most certainly not expected at all.
'' ---is that really you, ivan? ''

CYMBELINE'S HAIR FLUTTERED IN THE BREEZE LIKE A VEIL, LIKE A CURTAIN THAT WAS PLAYED WITH BY THE WIND. she had always liked her hair, had always taken good care of it. she had fond memories of being young, of her mother humming to her as she wove flowers into her hair in the morning. there had been no flowers in her hair for a long time, maybe it was a habit worth getting back into.
she leaped over a fallen tree, then she kept running. continued fitness was one of the upsides of having never really gotten out of the mage game entirely. it was one of the few good things she still acknowledged, much else had gotten lost in the bitterness she felt. that was not entirely true, of course, but it was an interpretation she was comfortable with.
still. whether or not she could survive a war on what fitness she had today was a question she would only see answered when the war was over.

And he would keep glaring at the other individual --- one that the incarnation of lightning shares the same blood with. As much as he could sense distinctive lightning bolts about to merge from his structure, he had to restrain himself; for the benefit of the circumstance that is transpiring at this moment. Yet the sentiment of animosity ( accompanied with a few more but only to himself he would divulge ) was illustrated upon canvas of masculinity, ineluctably.
Henceforth, he remained silent, disallowing himself from unveiling any words that came to mind. After all, conversationalism was never his forte to begin with.
“ what are you doing out here by yourself? ”

"Hm? Oh -- just needed some air."
Raven Tail's guildhall was far more low-key than Fairy Tail, and less prone to brawls in the common area, but that didn't necessarily mean it was quiet, for someone with enhanced hearing. The noise level ordinarily would've been far more manageable, but most of the voices were still unfamiliar to him -- and, being a new arrival, he heard his name (or various descriptions of him) somewhat often.
"Need anythin'?"
