Since we're attacking religion, one things I know both christianity and mormonism to do is change what they believe in if it gives them a bad reputation. For instance, christians have their bible split in old and new testament, and the old testament is filled with sick bullshit that makes their god seem like a psychopath, him telling someone to kill their baby, killing everyone on the planet, it looks so bad for them. So it was an easy target for anyone criticizing the religion to go 'hey what about all this then' and eventually they started saying 'you know what, we don't believe in the old testament anymore, we just stick to the new one' in order to avoid criticism.
Mormons are infamous for sticking to the rules, but if they get a lot of criticism, they eventually change what the rules are; for instance their special underwear that they find more and more inconvenient to wear, keeps getting smaller and more easy to wear, they had to change the rules about allowing polygamy because people were upset about it, they had to stop with the blatant racism and sexism because they were getting criticized.
So from this we can tell that more than belief or faith, religions care more about their public reputation, about not being criticized. If an aspect of faith starts being too controversial and puts them in a bad light, they just change it and pretend it was never happening. And I think this is a very interesting weak spot to attack it from, because hey, how much are you willing to change your faith in order to appeal to masses?
If enough criticism of the old testament makes it invalid, then if we keep criticizing the new one, will that get cut off too? Can we make them cut off little controversial pieces of it, until nothing is left? Can we criticize jesus enough to have him formally cancelled? Can we banish god for being problematic on main?
Because all of these are possible; whenever people try to convince me that god is real, I immediately explain how horrid that would be, because if he exists, he must be ominscient. Which means he knows what I know. He knows there are children being murdered, trafficked, raped, killed, he knows women are being sold and trapped in slavery, he knows innocent people are living in desolation and terror, and I am here burning out consistently from how helpless I feel about all this, I would give my life to change it if I could. And you wanna tell me there is a guy who knows, who can change all of this, in a second, and he just doesn't? Because these people haven't 'prayed enough to him'? They didn't please him enough??? If that's real he's the most despicable monster imaginable and needs to be taken down immediately. And people do stop trying to share the bible after I say this because it's indefensible. Cancel god.
And you might think Jesus seemed like a good enough person but he's a male! He gets credit for being 'the best male' despite every single woman who ever existed doing more to aid humanity than he did! He made some fish appear, women cooked all their life to sustain their loved ones! He 'forgave the sinners' women marry them every daxy!! 'He kissed one guy who betrayed him' women have been kissing treacherous m*n for centuries! 'He washed someone's feet' women wash whole humans for years until they can do it themselves!!! He's a lazy baby taking credit for doing 1% of what women do every day of their lives, any woman has done more than jesus and did he ever point that out and demanded that a woman should replace him as he's clearly the inferior choice? No because he's a sexist male who loves taking credit for mimicking a woman for 5 minutes once. A woman could do all that and people would be 'least you could have done, now repeat it until you die' and they would kill her anyway.
Mormonism falls apart just when you learn the truth about its origins, and ex-mormons have already done a perfect job at showcasing it. It really is just idolizing a predatory pedophile who wanted leverage to get sexual access to as many women as possible and got away with it. Had a woman done that she would have been remembered as the worst person to ever exist, which I think is what should be the memory of that guy.
Believers can be persuaded to drop pieces of their religion once it's pointed out to them how bad it is, or more specifically, how bad it makes them look. This makes it clear that nobody truly believes in the religion; it's just what they built their culture on and what they get to judge other people about and feel superior about so they keep at it, at least the males. For women it's more of a heavy guilt-inducing burden they carry until they die.
If we can get the males to drop the entire thing via pointing out how bad it makes them look, maybe the women will be able to see it's fake as well! I do think it would be more difficult to make males drop it, because of all the privilege they get from it. The bible is excusing their actions and enabling them; it's filled with justifying what some old male said and blaming anyone who wouldn't listen. Every biblical story teaches you to ignore your instincts and common sense and reason in order to please some old m*n who does not have your best interests at heart, however he is somehow right about everything and if you manage to fit into this narrow expectation of what would please him, you might be rewarded. That is incredibly misleading! Once an old male manages to get you to ignore your instincts and common sense to do as he says, you're rewarded with trauma 100% of the time. But males benefit greatly if you give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're just not wise enough to see how this is for your own good somehow.
If religion was infallible and right at all times, they wouldn't have to keep changing it in order to avoid critcism. If people believed in it wholeheartedly, they wouldn't drop it once it becomes inconvenient to their reputation. If it was harmless it wouldn't have a history of war, femicide, oppression and slavery. It would not be predating on children and the most vulnerable members of society to try and get them indoctrinated because people who already have a community and social safety don't have a reason to relinquish control over their life to a deity that gives promises of making their death better.
