Who says #rats don’t store food in their mouths like squirrels? 😂🐭 My baby #rat #Toupee seems to be quite obsessed with her @oxbowanimalhealth treats! She will often run around with them for an hour and even sleep with her treats still sticking out of her mouth! 🤣🤣Doesn’t she look like she’s smiling?!? Oh #Toupée! You are simply adorable! I can’t stand it! And to add to the funny… doesn’t the space pod in the background look like she’s wearing a blue hat? All sorts of wonderful happening in this photo! 😆 Love you Toops! 🐭💕

Hello Lovely people!

We are excited to reveal this little project one of our foster moms has been working on for the last few months to help us raise funds for the Ottawa Pet Rat Rescue.

Combining her skills as a talented illustrator and her love for rats, Emily has kindly designed and created a set of 7 stickers for us.

Each sticker is based off of an actual rat whom we cared for through the years and we were lucky enough to get an advanced look at these adorable designs which will put a smile on your face.

Please allow us to introduce you to our newest little love.... Sid. Sid was surrendered to us as a bite case yet we are unsure of the exact situation which caused him to bite. He is just a baby at just under 3 months old. We know he was scared because he was originally snake food that the snake wouldn't eat, then transferred over to a home where he only ate cat food. We've said it before and we'll repeat.... cat food is TERRIBLE for rats. We were expecting a vicious little guy on arrival but what we received was a small guy looking for friends. As you can see here, he is being held in gentle hands and shows no signs of aggression. Rats are typically NOT biters. Do they bite? Yes. Anything with teeth CAN bite. Anyways, Sid is safe and snuggly in a foster home while he receives delicious and rat-friendly foods. We also deworm our rats and provide them with mite prevention. We put the heath of ALL of our animals at the top of the priority list. Right next to health.....happiness. Welcome to the family, Sid! Happy adoption day for our little Nibbles! Such a sweet girl deserved such a great home. Her new mommy can't wait to get her home to meet her new sisters. Let's hear it for two of our rat boys! Ratso and Eleven went to their forever home today. Eleven's mom drove in from Mississippi to pick this great guy up. Ratso was from the hoarding case a couple months ago. He was adopted, yet returned due to allergies. We always know they get returned just to find their match. Two more of our precious rat babies have left the building! Robert Pattinson and Jake Gyllenhaal have found their forever. These boys have been raised with an extreme amount of love and dedication since the day they were born. They have also begun litterbox training and doing exceptional. Our two little blonde rat babies found their forevers! Yes! We DO value, save, and adopt out even the tiniest of lives! Rats end up homeless and in shelters too. These are DOMESTIC FANCY RATS and not 'wild' rats. They are extremely sweet, socialized, and we even litterbox train them! Congrats on the amazing and fabulous adoption of Ratso and Rascal! These boys lived a hard life in a terrible situation where their owner was sick and the rats were left to procreate and survive on their own. There were cats and dogs running throughout the same house and all scared and alone. Ratso and Rascal will now live a wonderful and loved life with their new family.
