Triple shot cuddles…. I already wrote out a bunch of headcanons that explain this so… they’re under the cut!

It’s hot as hell in that room, Ophelia cranks the thermostat because she’s cold blooded, pyke emits heat as a waste byproduct of glowing, rett is suffering but it’s okay because he could probably sleep under any conditions

Blanket sling… eheeh. It’s a way for rett to hold pyke (I.e. not let him roll off the bed) without having to wear the metal arm to sleep. Ophelia gets the other arm because I say so

Pyke has a sunlamp which is partially why Ophelia is facing away and has the eye mask. Again, rett can sleep with any conditions, and pyke is used to the light

They have three pillows! Pyke doesn’t get one. Ophelia has one for her head, and she’s hugging one. Rett has the third. It’s okay, rett is pykes pillow

The other reason Ophelia is faced away is because she gets migraines and chronic headaches, which can definitely be triggered by strong smells. And it’s hot as hell, ew, icky. (Don’t ask about Pyke he’s doing his own thing…)

Ophelia’s pillow has a nice perfume sprayed onto it so she can have that instead!!

Pig plushie. Those who know. It would probably be inbetween pyke and rett but honestly I didn’t want to add that in so it’s just, over on the side.

Hank has his own bed, but he’s spoiled and not a single one of the people in that relationship can say no to him (it’s quite similar to how Ophelia nor rett can say no to pyke. Whipped smth smth..)

They’re sleeping on retts tiny little twin size bed (he never needed more and somehow they’re all fitting)

They lowk don’t need blankets solely because of how hot it is but it doesn’t really bother any of them in a huge amount. Rett on god we’re gonna get you an ice pack or smth.

For your consideration: Triple Shot but Ophelia and Rett are platonic bffs that are more than okay with passing Pyke back and forth like a blunt. Rett has custody of him during the week and Ophelia has him on weekends and holidays and Pyke is MORE than fine with this situation. They often text each other and update one another on how Pyke is doing, gifts to buy him, etc. Rett and Ophelia actually have a master document of things about Pyke so they can coordinate better (for efficiency damn it!). They have a deep respect for one another and while their relationship is 100% platonic they do very much love each other and want Pyke to feel loved and appreciated as much as possible. They’ll all go out together and when Pyke goes to the bathroom or something they immediately turn to each other and talk about Pyke lmao

(‘I saw Pyke eyeing those dashing pair of boots earlier in the shop we passed, do you think that’d make a good Decemberween present?’

‘Oh I saw that too! Yeah, reckon they’d match with that shirt ya’ bought ‘em last week. I can buy those.’)

ALSO for your consideration: Triple Shot where Pyke and Ophelia are deeply in love with each other and Rett is the aroace guy they’re in a QRP with. Like, he’s not romantically or sexually interested in Pyke or Ophelia in a traditional sense, but he’s invited to all of their dates, ‘couple nights’ and will in fact be sandwiched between them both on the couch. Ophelia and Pyke couldn’t imagine not having Rett be apart of their family, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Plus Rett gets the added benefit of free smooches! Or alternatively Rett doesn’t want anything physical or romantic at all with either of them, and simply just wants to be there for them and support them while Ophelia and Pyke do the same for him. Either way Rett is irrevocably intertwined with these two and is very much never leaving either of their sides.

I hope this inspires somebody to get silly with their Triple Shot! Get sillay !!

Triple shot to me is a beautiful couple that’s rediscovering what it means to love and The Big Live-In Husband is there too. He brought apple slices :-)
