Angel trudges down the street on tired feet. Finals are killing her slowly, and she spent the last eight hours in the library studying alone because Rhys, her best friend and study buddy, had to leave early to hang out with ‘this hot older guy i’m seeing’. She’s daydreaming about getting to her dorm and face-planting into her pillow when she walks by the campus coffee shop. Isn’t that Rhys at that table? Hands lifted to knock on the window and pull a silly face at him, she suddenly stills when she recognizes the other man at the table.
