This is such an honor and surprise. Never thought I could make it here just by being guilty of association. What a wonderful thing to be recognized and acknowledged with some of the most talented Dragon Age artists and blog users that stand up against whitewashed stolen art, anti-Palestinian racism, and other assorted bigotry.

Since now I know I’m on your radar, let me tell you this:

Hate and prejudice towards others based on anything other than one’s character comes from a place of insecurity and self-hatred. So, I genuinely hope y’all get better soon. If you stop and think about it, doesn’t it feel sad to live such lonely, hateful lives with nothing better to do than troll and spread harm and generate AI slop? If you work really hard, self-reflect, and bring positivity into your lives, y’all could be much happier people and maybe even become talented at art!

Redirecting your hate towards others never diminishes the hate for yourself; it actually makes it worse. I hope y’all heal from whatever ails you inside.

I want to post pictures of my cat who passed yesterday but I’m not sure I can bring myself to look at them right now.

I just feel like I need to stay in the “I intellectually know she’s gone but I can kind of forget she feels gone” stage until at least the weekend. But the inherited neuroses and instilled-at-birth catholicism are making me feel guilty for not making myself suffer, for not making my grief worse, like I don’t love her enough to put myself through it and her loss isn’t worth me turning myself into an inconsolable mess. She is, I just can’t let myself or force myself right now. Not to mention the additional guilt for not automatically being a mess but this post is getting long enough.

I’ve lost a few pets before and each time the grieving is different. I like that metaphor of grief being a button inside a box where a ball is bouncing around. Each time the ball presses the button, it reactivates the pain. And over time the box gets bigger so the button is pushed less and less but can still feel just as intense. In some cases it felt like that ball was glued to the button. In this case it feels like the ball isn’t heavy enough yet to push the button all the way. Idk grief is weird.

It does comfort me that I believe helping her pass was the kindest thing. And that she was ready to go, and we had happened to time it before she started suffering more. I’m relieved that she’s no longer in pain, but I miss her and hate that I didn’t get more time.

Love being told to ask for help and delegate when I need it and then having to spend 30 minutes justifying why I need help and why I delegated the way I did.
