William :
It would be an enormous source of pride for this man if he had someone with tremendous strength by his side.
He really admired you but at the same time he feared that power but to his surprise you weren't arrogant about it and it was even more surprising when he discovered that you had feelings for him.
The captain had you in the golden dawn for some time, but he couldn't imagine you felt something for him, even without seeing his face. Since he knew you were fearless, he didn't think his scar would scare you, but he still remained hesitant.
One of the times you two went out, you asked him to remove his mask and he was uncertain about the matter but you assured him that everything was fine and that he didn't need to be afraid.
When you saw his face you couldn't contain a smile because you thought he was so cute and he couldn't help but feel the blush on his cheeks and grateful because you didn't make any less pleasant comments.
You'll definitely give him lots of compliments whenever he talks about the scar and you'll also make it clear that you will kick someone's ass if they laugh or make fun of him because of it.
He knows that no one in the division would make any comment about it but he would still be afraid if someone one day did that and you were around, because he knew you wouldn't hesitate.
William is very grateful that you defend him and are not afraid to show your power wherever you go.
Rhya :
Your strength is something that surprised him when you showed him your potential. It intimidated him a little, or maybe more than he expected.
Not gonna lie, but he had already tried to copy your powerful magic but was frustrated because he couldn't reach full power like you did.
And after that he went to take a long nap because this man is very lazy.
But he really likes to see you fighting and showing how strong you are. He admires you a lot for that.
At first, he thought you wouldn't care about him since you were so strong but when you started smiling here and there at him, he couldn't resist and you two started talking more often than usual.
You were also very protective of him and he felt very safe around you because he recognized your strength and knew what you could do with it.
Quote: "Fall in love with by understanding another."
It is of the utmost importance, regardless of someone’s age, gender or race, to be excellent in at least one thing. One must not merely excel at this single task but be fundamentally better than anyone else within similar circumstances attempting to accomplish that very same task and in a location relative to yours.
Of course, this entire theory can be ultimately tossed out and entirely forsaken if one does not wish to become important (in any way whatsoever) and hopes to maintain an ordinary life. It should be noted that by choosing to ignore this most radical and sensible piece of advice you are outright denying oneself of all human pleasures that fall into either category of dreams or desires.
This piece is, of course, only one of seven different instructionals to help guide you into a world of excellence. One should hope to not just entertain themselves with these pieces of work but look to apply them into their everyday life. Once again, it should be noted that all pieces should be read and thought on for a maximum absorption of the materials.
Now, without further ado, this is how to under stand.

“What’re you doing, (L/n)?” Rhya asks, taking a seat beside you and wrapping his arm around your shoulders.
The bar is loud and the chairs are kinda sticky but Rhya chooses to stay seated.
He always does.
At least when you’re there.
You don’t seem surprised by his sudden appearance, instead answering his question with one of your own, a grin on your face, “what do you think I’m doing?”
Rhya pouts, “I asked you first.”
“I suppose you did. Yeah.”
“So…”
You smile teasingly, “so?”
Rhya leans his head on your shoulder, “I just wanted to know how my favourite person was doing.”
“Yeah,” you say, “me too.”
But there’s a subtle shift in the beating of your heart that tells him otherwise. An ever so slight shift in your breathing and a brief moment of you stiffening beneath his hold. The situation is almost amusing for Rhya.
The relationship between you and Rhya has always been a strange one. Once strangers on different sides of a war. Now… companions? Friends? Acquaintances? Rhya isn’t all too sure. What he is sure of, on the other hand, is that he likes being around you. Feels as though you understand him better than others. Even better than some Elves.
It has something to do with your power. It must.
Rhya’s almost like a walking and breathing lie detector. He just can’t help but notice all the different symptoms of the human (or elf) body that give way to lies. Sometimes it even feels magical. Part of his abilities though there's nothing in his grimoire that would say otherwise.
You’re like him. You aren’t a walking lie detector but you might as well be. The expanse of your abilities is much more… vast. Creates an almost involuntary connection between yourself and the others.
“I’m surprised.” You suddenly proclaim, pushing Rhya off your shoulder and ordering another drink from the bartender.
“And what has surprised you, (L/n)?” Rhya asked, your surname slowly rolling off his lips.
“You,” you began.
“Me?”
“You, coming to a place like this.”
“Oh?” Rhya leans in towards you as you push a shot over for him to take, “and why wouldn’t I ‘come to a place like this’?”
“Because this,” you hold up your own shot glass, “is a place where people go to lie.”
“Now that,” Rhya cheers his cup against yours, “is something I can cheer to.”
The liquid, despite being cool, burns as it runs down his throat. Sits hotly in his stomach and leaves him feeling uneasy for a moment or two longer than he thought it would’ve. Rhya isn’t against indulging in mortal sin but doesn't actually do so unless the situation actually calls for it. Unless a pretty girl like you is the one offering him the drink in the first place.
“Another?” You ask.
Already?
Rhya nods along anyways.
The bartender leans in close to you and flashes a flirtatious smile, “what’re you hoping for sweetheart?”
The hot liquid seems to rumble in Rhya’s stomach as you lean forward, “the usual, Cliff.”
“Just for you?” His eyes flicker over to Rhya, “or one for your friend as well?”
“One for my friend too.”
The bartender nods and makes quick work to get the drinks prepared. He flitters across the bar and makes conversation with the other people seated around the bar.
Rhya's mouth feels sour. Probably just the aftertaste of the first shot. But that doesn't explain the strange pang in his chest or the anger rising up in his stomach. Or maybe it does? Rhya can’t be too sure. It’s definitely not his first time drinking but he’s never had a reaction like this before. Maybe it has something to do with the specific drink you gave him.
Maybe not.
“Friend?” Rhya asked, surprised with his own choice of words.
You smile knowingly, “yeah. He’s my friend. I like him.”
Rhya frowns, his eyes narrowing in on the man.
There doesn't seem to be anything all too special about the bartender. He’s not that attractive. Average at best. Really everything, from his aura to general vibe screams utterly ordinary. Not that there’s anything wrong with him, bring ordinary, it’s just that Rhya had always imagined you with someone more… spontaneous? Adventurous? Courageous.
Yeah. Courageous.
He always imagined you with someone courageous. Not a bartender for a bar in the middle of God knows where. You, afterall, deserve nothing less than the best.
You laugh, leaning in towards Rhya, “but I like you more~”
And that puts a smile on his face.
---
There had been plenty of women Rhya had canoodled with. Many he’d had the chance to court and take to bed but they all seem to suddenly become background noise compared to you. Actually, it feels as though almost everything in Rhya’s life has become background noise when you’re around.
There’s a promise in the back of his mind.
Something he needs to do.
But those words are quiet. Basically ignored as you lean closer towards him, your body warm pressed tightly against his own.
“That’s a lie.”
You stiffen beneath Rhya’s arms, your movements suddenly stopped. Rhya’s own heart seems to have stopped as well - almost as if waiting for the realization of his own words to finally kick in. For the weight of everything to suddenly strike him. It takes a moment - but only just a moment. Of course, that brief moment of hesitation doesn't show on his face as he lets out a low chuckle and pulls you closer towards himself.
He’s always, always, known when someone was lying. No matter how well they trained their bodies to stay calm, conditioned their minds to stay strong or told their hearts to be steady he always knew. Something about the shift in the magic, Rhya thinks, - as if their very essence has been moved.
Huh.
Rhya wonders if your own abilities are like his own.
Earlier that night he had speculated on them. Wondered about the specifics of how they might work. He’s never taken the chance to ask you though. Never wanted to show you another vulnerable side of himself. Isn’t certain if you’d want to show that side of yourself either so he never asks. Not when he’s too scared to know. And regardless of how you answer that question he’ll know.
He’ll know just as he knows that you’re lying right now.
Now, Rhya doesn’t exactly hate his abilities but it’s times like this where they seem more like a curse than they do a blessing. Actually, it’s a little impudent to call them a blessing at all. It’s almost a physical manifestation of the sins committed against them back before everything had happened as it was. A reminder to never let himself get too close.
But you’re different. You always have been. All Rhya has to do now is decide if that’s a good thing or not. You seem to be caught in the same internal debate. Perhaps, for once, stuck more in your feelings than his own.
Your abilities might be a little like his. A reminder of your bloodline. A burden you’ve been forced to carry for longer than you’ll ever know. He imagines you’ve had a rough life with abilities like yours. Like him, it’s not something you can just suddenly turn off, and it makes it harder for you to truly connect with other people. Abilities meant to torment the two of you in moments just like this.
“I-” you tail off.
“But that’s okay,” Rhya mumbles against your neck, his lips lingering on your soft skin as though he can’t bear to be without its touch, “your lies are different.” And they are. He just can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing.
Perhaps you know.
---
“What’re you thinking about, Rhya?” You ask, talking a breadths width away, the back of your hand brushing against his own.
Rhya smiles, “you can’t tell?”
You roll your eyes, “you know I can only feel another person’s feelings. Not their thoughts.”
“Oh, can you now?” Rhya smirks, “now isn’t that a shame.”
“Fine,” you huff, “be like that.” You break away from the path the two of you seemed to be walking and break off into the field of flowers. The flowers are bright and colourful, reminding Rhya of a time when everything was simpler. Make him feel as though you’re simply a girl and he’s simply a boy.
That there isn’t this seemingly insurmountable distance that’ll always be there between the two of you. That it isn’t written in the stars for you to be apart.
Your words ring loud and true in his ears.
Send a pang to his heart.
He makes his way towards you, pushing through the grassy fields. Rhya’s never been a big fan of grass. Not that he’s disliked it but it’s not exactly his favourite thing in the world. It’s nice against his back when he takes a nap but that’s about it. There’s nothing… special about it. Nothing that makes it stand out against everything else in this world.
“What ya got there?” Rhya asks.
You’re hunched over something as Rhya takes a seat beside you. He flashes you a lazy smile.
You smile, holding up a flower for Rhya to see.
“It’s pretty, isn’t it?”
“Yeah.” Rhya says. Perhaps today will be the day he finally confesses his feelings for you.
Rhya practically stumbles out of his dream, waking up in the room the two of you ended up renting the night before. The bed creaks beneath him as he sits up, the blanket falling off his chest and pooling around his waist.
He looks over to the other side of the bed, surprised to see you there fiddling around with a bundle of strings.
The windows open slightly, allowing for a beam of light to hit you directly and allow you to see what you’re doing. He smiles. He never took you to be the considerate type.
“I love you.” Rhya says, the words slipping from his mouth. It seems as though speaking before thinking is becoming a bad habit for him. At least when he’s around you it is, but he doesn't mind it all too much.
You, on the other hand, don’t seem to be of the same opinion.
You don’t bother turning around but you do, for the briefest of moments, sit stunned. Halted momentarily before replying coolly, “I thought you said you were going to forget me as quickly as you could?”
“I am.”
“Then how are you going to easily forget me if you love me?” You ask, your voice laced in amusement as you weave the threads of string together.
Huh.
He hadn’t really thought that through. Though he’s always had a tendency to do and say things without thinking about everything properly.
Oh well.
He’d much rather do things one day at a time then spend his days wondering about ‘could haves’ and ‘should haves’. Besides, you were here right now so why should he have to worry about you being gone?
“Rhya.”
Rhya pushes himself away from the edge of the bed and leans over to you. It’s barely an inch that he’s moved but he feels as though he’s suddenly traversed hundreds of miles. The movement in the bed causes the sheets to russell. When you turn to look at him he snatches the bundle of strings from your hand with a smirk.
Surprisingly, you don’t immediately move to attack him. In fact, you don’t move at all. Instead sitting frozen to the spot. He wonders if it’s because of his physical presence or emotional one.
You look so pretty like this. With your hair a mess from sleep and your eyes curious as they await for his next movement. Rhya thinks that you looked a little something like this when the two of you first met. He’d been attacking in the middle of the night and you, being the great Magic Knight you are, jumped out of bed to meet him in the midst of battle. If only he’d know just how important you’d end up becoming in his life.
He forgets just how pretty you are sometimes. He obviously always knows that you’re pretty but it’s moments like this that help remind him of your beauty. Simple moments. Moments like this.
He, more than anything, wonders what kind of life you must’ve led up until now with powers like yours. If you used it to your advantage (like he did) when working with and against others. If it did nothing but make you want to push others away. If it makes your stomach turn and your hands temple.
If it’s changed the way you feel about others.
If it’s changed the way you feel about him.
You know, perhaps even better than him, exactly how he feels. Exactly what he’s feeling right now. You don’t need to hear the loud pounding of his heart or feel the warmth of his cheeks like everyone else to know exactly how you make him feel. You don’t need to turn around and look at him like he wants you to.
“(Y/n).” He says, your name feeling almost soft as it leaves his lips.
he doesn’t get jealous easily, most things don’t even get to him much
it’s not that he doesn’t care he just trusts you a lot, if he was to get jealous it would probably be of the other person like they’re wasting your time when he’s trying to talk to you
or showing off for no good reason when he’s right there and they’re still flirting with you
when he is jealous it’s mostly just icy glares to whoever is irritating him, it usually gets them to back off if they still continue on he just walks off with you because he can’t believe he sat there and let himself get jealous and the person was really irritating him
he does get jealous! but not as often because the elves are aware y’all are together and he mainly spends his time with them so they wouldn’t do him like that and he thinks it’s a real pain
but there are times when he wants to nap with you and someone is taking up all your time and he’s fighting to stay awake waiting for you and he sees you laughing with someone else
he doesn’t even feel like getting up because like he says “it’s a pain” but he really wanted to spend time with you so he just walked up to the person, scooped you up and just walked off with you in his arms towards his favorite napping spot
he does indeed get jealous and it turns into a little competition with the person he’s jealous of even though it’s completely one sided
also a little scary when he’s jealous so most folks tend to avoid making him jealous because he will not hesitate to fight
after being jealous he gets extremely clingy and asks you to spar every thirty seconds while annoyingly poking your cheek over and over
May I please get Yami, Nozel, Rhya, Vetto, and Fuego with a reader who's father was a pretty famous cagefighter, and as such relies on physical attacks and grapples to defeat enemies instead of magic? Thanks, hope you're doing well!
Hello love~!
I know you've been waiting for quite the while, but I hope this is worth it, because you certainly may! And I'm doing well, thank you for asking, I hope you are too! ^^
Pairing: Yami x gn!reader, Nozel x gn!reader, Rhya x gn!reader, Vetto x gn!reader & Fuego x gn!reader
Genre: General
Fanfic type: Headcanons
Total length: ~1.5k
Yami
Yami had heard your father’s name many times enough to recognize it, as well as was perfectly aware of his reputation.
But still, he was somehow unable to draw the connection between the two of you. Because the chances of you two begin related, and so closely related, just didn’t seem… like something that would happen. It was more so about him thinking that he wouldn’t meet anyone who was related to his, dare he say, idols.
Though your father wasn’t exactly an idol of his, but Yami still did have a healthy deal of respect for your father even before meeting him.
And sure enough, when it came time to introduce the two in the living life, they had a lot to talk about. Though Yami used his magic to a great length, he wasn’t a stranger to non-magic using attacks, being a swordsman himself. Thus, there was a lot to learn and to discuss.
Perhaps it wasn’t a surprise that Yami and your father even wound up into a friendly brawl amongst each other… at times… They were always in good spirit, and it was good for them to be on such good terms with each other, but... you had to admit, that sometimes you found yourself shaking your head, because they were at it again.
But, more of then than not, it made you smile. Because the knowledge that he was getting along, more than well, with your family, made you happy in a way you never knew.
Nozel
Nozel… he had perhaps heard your father’s name in passing, but couldn’t really connect it to anything. After all, cagefighting wasn’t a particular interest of his, and thus the name meant nothing to him. And sure, he might have seen news, images of your father winning an important match, but those too, had slipped by him.
Your last name, it was just your name; no connections to it.
It wasn’t until you mentioned it that he became aware of the fact that your father was indeed quite famous, even if he thought that… it was rather… brutish fame. And to fight with no magic, such foolishness. If you’re able to use mana, then why use anything other than mana? Why indeed…
But. He was your father, and he wanted to get along, thus, he thought to spare his thoughts for later. Until they had established some kind of a speaking relationship, after that they could perhaps converse about it.
Or that was the plan, had your father not brough it up during the first meeting, asking what Nozel thought about someone like him, who preferred to fight with his physique instead of magic.
And Nozel, he thought that he might just as well be honest. So, he told your father that it wasn’t something he could hold in high value, because mana enabled people to do great things.
Which wasn’t surprising to your father. In fact, he had been planning on asking Nozel for a brawl ever since you told him that you two had begun dating.
And Nozel, he scoffed, but accepted the request for a brawl, ending up in a lock under the entir body weight of your father in a blink of an eye.
“That’s your issue pretty boy, you overlook things that don’t fit your view of the world,” your father growled at him, before letting go. Which resulted into Nozel ruffling his feathers, but… with some imploring gazes from you, and assurances of this staying between you, he stood down.
Not the… best possible first meeting, but it taught all of you something. And… it wasn’t much, but it was a start. But, it seemed like the two, Nozel and your father, were trying to understand each other, which, quite frankly, was all that you could ask for. So, with time, you were certain that they’d grow better acquainted.
Rhya
Rhya hadn’t really been interested in human customs, especially such as ‘cagefighting’. What was it even about? Just a couple of people put in a cage and told to fight? With their fists? What was the point? Sounded awfully tiring.
He just didn’t get it. Fighting just for the sake of fighting. But maybe it was a human thing, he didn’t really know.
But. He had fallen in love with you, a human, and thus it was, or he supposed that it was, with some advice from his peers, important for him to learn to understand your world as well. And, as a part of that, he needed to meet your parents, including your father.
His fame wasn’t of particular interest to Rhya either, but he seemed a nice enough person. And after making some small talk, he had to ask your father about what was the whole deal about cagefighting.
And your father didn’t really have an answer. He was able to talk about how he liked it, how it was something he could do, and how it taught him things nobody who relied solely on magic could learn. But he wasn’t able to say what precisely was it about cagefighting that had made him wind up to the position he was in.
Rhya, he listened, thinking that there seemed to be more to it than he had first thought, but it also sounded laboursome. But then again, many things seemed laboursome to him.
So, what he chose to take from the meeting, was that your father was a really decent guy, and that was enough for him.
Vetto
Vetto was, and had been as his true self, always a peaceful person. Fighting hadn’t… been his thing. He just wanted to care for every living creature in the world, so something like… fighting as a sport, which your father had made into a profession, seemed… strange to him.
Perhaps he could say that it sounded somewhat human, since the elves didn’t have such things. But he didn’t, because he didn’t want to hurt you. Even if he had to ask about it from you; more precisely, what kind of a person your father was, because Vetto was imagining a rather crude person.
And you understood it, because the title and the fame, being a cagefighter, did bear a kind of a stigma in people’s minds. But your dad really was a nice person; all it took was giving him a chance.
Which Vetto thought was only fair. Because, hey, even bears could look intimidating and scary, but if you take the time to get to know them, they’re nice and cuddly. Though maybe making the comparison wouldn’t have… been the best thing to do, it gave him a different kind of mindset while going into the meeting.
And sure enough, he found out that your father really was a straight up guy. He didn’t exactly beat around the bush, but he was nice and polite. He wanted to get along with Vetto. Which was all Vetto really needed.
Maybe they could learn from each other. Grow closer and find common ground. It certainly seemed more than possible.
Fuego
Fue had heard mentions off your father, and perhaps in the right context he would have been able to draw the connection. Mostly because Mereo had talked about the craze of cagefighting at times, not that he himself really understood the fascination. But. He didn’t need to understand it necessarily either.
However, when you mentioned it, he let out a thoughtful hum, but deemed it to be not a big deal. After all, he would have been a hypocrite to think that your father, being a cagefighter, would somehow been an unpleasant person just because of that, since he knew Mereo-aneue to seem like an unpleasant person, and perhaps she was to some, but she was also caring.
Even if he knew Mereo to denounce such claims, should he voice them.
Thus, he thought that it’d be better to simply meet your father in order to get to know him. After all, professions and titles were one thing, but being someone as a person were a completely other. He, if anyone, knew as much.
So, he met with your father, giving polite greetings and making small talk, which eventually developed into a proper discussion. Sure, they had their differences, but they were both reasonable and were able to talk them out.
Though you weren’t really sure what you were expecting from them meeting each other, given how they were both well grounded, this… this was much better. It sounded like Fue was even learning about alternative types of fighting, which he might or might not be able to utilize in some manner.
It certainly was much better than you could have hoped for.

A/N: Hello my lovely!! I hope you enjoy this! I apologize that it's so late :)
Rhya Fluff + Teacher AU! + My friends dared me to ask you out but you actually said yes + “You’re such a dork.”
The faculty lounge was largely empty, save for Rhya, the chemistry teacher, slumped over his desk snoring lightly. You stood in the doorway, sweaty hand clutching the strap of your bag tightly. You sighed quietly, cursing your fellow teacher friends for making you agree to this.
Making your way across the room you stopped at the sleeping man’s desk, heart pounding as you stood over him.
“What’s up Y/N?” He asked, voice gravelly from sleep.
“How did you know it was me?” You blinked, taken aback.
He sat up straighter and stretched, arms shaking as the muscles began to wake up. A finger pointed to the floor, “It was your shoes, they make a distinct sound. That’s how I knew it was you.”
“Oh.” You swallowed uncomfortably, suddenly feeling self conscious as you glanced at your shoes. Do they really make a specific noise?
“Well, did you need something? It’s unlike you to come into the faculty lounge this late.”
You tucked your hands behind your back, rocking on your heels.
“Um… well you see… You can totally say no, but I was wondering if you’d be interested in going out on a date with me?” You clasped your hands tightly together, half praying he’d say no and put you out of your misery.
Rhya stared at you for a long moment, if he was surprised he didn’t show it, instead he had the same bored expression he usually did.
You braced yourself for the impending apology.
“Sure. Tomorrow night sound good?”
You took a sharp breath, surprised by his answer, “Sure, that sounds great! I can meet you out front after work?”
He nodded, “Sounds good. See you tomorrow Y/N.”
“See you tomorrow Rhya.”
You tried not to listen to the sound of your shoes as you walked across the linoleum floor. As you paused in the doorway to risk one last glance into the room, you could have sworn you saw him smile.
-
Your phone landed on your bed with a thump, the ringing tinny as it rang on speakerphone.
“Hey there Y/N! What’s up? Got the hot goss?”
You rolled your eyes, “Would I be calling this late if I didn’t?”
Practically feeling Kasumi smiling on the other end of the line you relented,
“We’re going out tomorrow night.”
Kasumi gasped, “Oh my gosh! He really said yes? That’s so exciting! What are you going to wear? Where are you going? Eek! I’m so excited for you, you’ve had a crush on him for like, forever.”
You took a deep breath, Kasumi was always like this; her mind ran at about a hundred kilometers a minute, fast and incessantly making your life more interesting, sometimes, like tonight, more difficult.
“Yes, he said yes. I don’t know what I’m wearing or where we’re going. And it has not been forever! More like 2 months, if that.”
She tutted at you through the phone, “You know we all see the way you two looked at each other when he came into the lounge for the first time.”
You scrunched your nose at her even though she couldn’t see it, “Yeah, yeah, whatever. I just hope it goes well.”
Kasumi’s laugh was crackly through the speaker, grating on your already frayed nerves, “Don’t worry! It’ll be fine.” A brief pause, “Well, I’m exhausted, so I’ll catch you tomorrow ‘kay? I expect you to call me with all the juicy details afterwards.”
“Yeah, goodnight Kasumi.”
The call ended with a beep and you collapsed on your bed, her words echoing in your mind.
It’ll be fine.
-
You fussed over your appearance in the staff bathroom mirror. Did you look okay? Where were you going? Did Ryha say yes as a joke? Did he like you too?
The questions ran through your mind like a swarm of bees, a low hum that wouldn’t go away.
Finally, you decided that you could put it off no longer, you needed to go outside and face the man you’d asked out on a date.
He was standing by the school gate, a dress shirt and slacks with a blazer looked wonderful on him. He still had the same bored expression on his face, but it brightened slightly as you approached.
“Hey there, you ready? You look good by the way.”
Your cheeks grew hot at his words, “Yeah, I’m ready. You… look good too.”
He extended his elbow as a gesture for you to take it and you did, hooking your arm gently through the gap.
You walked down the street for a while, light from the street lamps illuminating the pools from the rain earlier in the day.
“So,” You said after a while, “Where are we going this fine evening?”
The corners of Rhya’s lips turned upward, “It’s a secret, but it’ll be great, I promise.”
Finally, you turned a corner and stopped outside a quaint looking restaurant; there wasn’t an obvious name anywhere on the establishment, but Rhya didn’t hesitate to open the door.
You walked inside and were greeted by a woman with pink hair, a flower crown placed lightly on her head.
“Hello! I have special seats reserved for you.”
“Thank you Fana.”
Rhya smiled thankfully, and you were led outside to a patio garden straight out of a fairytale. There were trellises covered in roses of all shades, bird baths and small fountains scattered around.
Fana led you down a stone path to a table in the center of the patio, lanterns hung around tossed delicate light over the space, lending to an atmosphere that felt ethereal.
There was a single tea light candle on the table, along with a single red rose in a vase.
Rhya pulled your chair out for you and you sat down, a menu soon placed in front of you.
Once Fana left you looked around, marvelling at the beautiful garden you were sitting in.
“Rhya, what is this place?”
“This is a little restaurant owned and operated by a few childhood friends of mine.”
Your mouth opened in a small ‘o’ as you looked around once more, seeing the setting in a whole new light.
-
The meal was enjoyable, Ryha was surprisingly good at making conversation once you got comfortable. By the time you were leaving the restaurant, you were grateful that your friends had made you go through this dare.
“Want to go on a walk before we head back to the school?” Rhya asked quietly once you were outside on the street.
You contemplated it, and decided that you weren’t ready for the magic of the night to end just yet. He gave you his arm to take once more and he led you down the city streets.
Wandering aimlessly you ended up in a square, there was a fountain in the center and a musician playing for patrons. It was a charming sight, the lights bathed the square in a soft light. Rhya cocked his head in a silent question and you nodded, making your way to the small crowd around the musician.
The musician’s assistant caught sight of you and smiled brightly, “Does the lovely couple want to dance?”
Both you and Rhya faltered, cheeks warm from being called out in front of a crowd and at the assumption that you were a couple. Rhya recovered quickly though and before you knew it he was extending a hand for you to dance with him.
He was surprisingly light on his feet, and dancing with him was easy. With several cheers from the crowd you danced to a few songs, hearts thrumming from the close contact.

Out of breath from dancing, you laughed and chatted on your way back to the school, hands barely brushing as you walked.
The parking lot was empty save for your cars. Your keys were in your hands but you were both still, not wanting to leave just yet.
Rhya caught your lingering gaze and you mustered up the courage to speak.
“Hey Rhya, would you maybe want to go out again?” You asked, hoping your voice didn’t betray just how hopeful you were.
“Yeah, I’d like that. I think we have a lot of chemistry.”
You smiled, then it dawned on you, “Rhya did you just--- did you just make a dad joke?”
He shrugged, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, “Maybe I did.”
You rolled your eyes, “Gosh, you’re such a dork.”
Rhya cocked his head, a mischievous glint in his eye, “Yeah, but I could be your dork.”
Giggling, you gave him a swift kiss on the cheek, “Yeah yeah, see you tomorrow. Text me when you get home safe.”
“You too Y/N.”
As you drove away, Rhya stared after your car, fingertips lingering on the spot you had kissed.
You glanced at Rhya as he was sleeping against the tree. You had always loved the lazy elf, but you knew he didn’t have feelings for you. You let a sigh out and leaned your head against your knees with your eyes closed. Rhya would never fall in love with a human like yourself. Your thoughts filled with Rhya, before you felt someone’s hand on your head. You looked up and met the eyes of Licht and he gave you a smile. You smiled back and he sat beside you and you glanced at the sleeping Rhya.
“You know, watching Rhya sleep won’t get your feelings across.” Licht said and you blushed a deep shade of red.
“I-I know, but Rhya would never like me, there are other prettier girls. Elves and humans alike. I stand no chance.” You said and Licht hummed softly as he looked at Rhya before looking at you.
“You never know unless you try. Confess to him, you may end up surprised.” Licht said ruffling your hair and you blushed. What you didn’t know was Rhya was watching you talk to Licht, and he couldn’t deny it but he was jealous.
“I can’t do that Licht. It’s so embarrassing and I’m not ready to have my heart broken anytime soon.” You said and Licht sighed softly.
“I’m just giving you advice (Y/N), I will respect your decision nonetheless.” You smiled up at your friend and hugged him, Rhya rolled his eyes before seeing Licht was looking at him. Rhya looked away with a slight blush and stood up. You pulled from the hug to see Rhya was awake and leaving.
“He may have gotten the wrong idea, you should go talk to him.” Licht said and you watched as Rhya left, you blushed softly and nodded your head.
“O-Okay. Thank you Licht.” You said and got up, Licht watched you go smiling. You jogged up to Rhya, and Rhya stopped to turn and look at you.
“What is it (Y/N)?” Rhya asked sleepily though he was interested in what you had to say. You were panting as you stopped jogging and Rhya couldn’t help but smile at your flush face.
“U-Uhm would you like to hang out with me?” You asked and Rhya raised an eyebrow at you.
“Weren’t you just hanging out with Licht?”
“Well, not necessarily. He wanted to talk to me and give me advice about something that’s it.” You said as you began to play with your hair.
“Advice?” You nodded your head and Rhya didn’t push it any further.
“Sure, though I’m still sleepy.”
“Oh, you can sleep then. We can hang~ huh?” Rhya grabbed your hand and pulled you to an isolated spot before making you sit down. Once you were sitting he laid his head in your laps
“We can do both... this way.” He said looking up at you and you blush but smiled.
“Okay, seems like a good idea.” You said and Rhya gave you that lazy smile of his that made you blush. You looked away from him as you began to stroke his hair. Rhya continued to look at your face before averting his gaze elsewhere.
Silence began to fill the void of you two, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. When Rhya realized he couldn’t sleep he sat up causing you to look at him. He glanced back at you and touched your cheek before pressing his lips against yours in a gentle yet hasty kiss. Your blush covered your cheeks and you were shocked, after a few minutes you began to kiss him back. The kiss was intoxicating, and he couldn’t get enough of it. He broke the kiss only for a moment so he could sit beside you. He then pulled you into his lap, and pulled you in for another heated kiss, you didn’t even have time to question him. He held your head in place so you wouldn’t break the kiss until he was ready.
Rhya licked your bottom lip, and you willingly parted your lips. His tongue entered, and he explored the warm cavern after you both were fighting for dominance which he won. You gripped his top pressing yourself closer to him which he helped hold you closer. After ten minutes, air became more important than continuing the kiss. He broke apart and you both were panting from the intense makeout. Rhya had a smug look on his face while yours were completely red.
“Rhya...”
“I love you (Y/N).” He said and your face had put the brightest red apple to shame, but you smiled cupping his cheeks and kissing him again.
“I love you too Rhya... I always have.”
“Well good, I am glad Licht was giving you advice on me then and not some other guy.” Rhya said and you laughed nodding your head,
“Well are you two dating yet?” You both turned around to see Licht with Tetia. You looked over to Rhya and he grinned kissing you deeply again, before parting.
“Only if she wants to be my girlfriend.”
“Of course I do Rhya, you don’t even have to ask.”
“Congratulations.” The newly wedded couple said and Rhya and you cuddled into each other smiling. -
