HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY 🌹💐❤️ TO ALL MY LOVELY LADIES 🤝🏻💪🏻
Nostalgic Much Mike
Good morning everyone. Although I quite enjoy them and I'm always grateful, I typically don't reply to the kind comments my friends occasionally add to a post of mine. I had to make an exception on my recent photo post: NO MIKE NO! 😄 Why you ask? I'll be very happy to answer that. First of all you can blame Kevin for starting it, and then counting him, several of my dearest long time friends stopped by. I won't mention them all here, but you can check the comments on that post or the tags below if you want to check them out. I promise you won't regret your decision. I believe a couple of them may have even started on Tumblr before me, and that was quite a while back. Lastly, I have a special (at least to me) way of closing these good morning posts. So what say you, Shall we go for the big finish? Okay, here goes. If no one's told you yet today, let me be the first to say... I love you, Mike 🩷 P.S. I kind of forgot the nostalgic part, but that's enough for now.
Smoking rings, drifting memories,
Hiding behind broken stories.
Aching head, broken promises
Not letting go of past indiscretions,
Hiding behind anonymous tales,
Watching in windows for stories to tell.
Birthed in paranoid, tortured delusions,
Living a lie of self grandeur illusions.
Alliteration across nations intensity arises,
Intensify, misaligned, beliefs you've designed.
Let go, no more, hold on to victimization,
Never your fault while you torture us all.
Come out of your darkness and into the light,
Every day feelings are born to die.
You choose which ones you want to feed,
While the rest of us live, love, and
Breathe.

What Am I Feeling
What am I feeling
well that starts with you
and it makes its way down.
It’s harder to write poems
with or without you around.
You call me crazy and crazy
is exactly how I feel.
If you had asked me why
then I’d have nothing to conceal.
Something is vanishing tonight
with little hope in sight.
I’m putting down words in flight.
Everyday I hope I’m making it right.

This time last year, I could have told you who I was, and who I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Twelve months have passed and now all I’m sure about… is that it’s December again.
rhymingtherapy, writing prompt #72, write about December
every year
nature draws me
one step closer
to her door,
the place
i will eventually
disappear—becoming
less tangible
than stone & wood,
my future
moulded from
impressionable clay
& overwritten
by inchoate sentences
bound together
by a treasure trove
of flightless feathers
& rain soaked thread.

Most of us are
learning as we go,
because that’s how
it was always meant to be,
despondency & hope
counterbalanced
in the hollow spaces
of our hearts,
like a voluminous moon
periodically overflowing
from a fervent sky,
a recurring sign
that everything & nothing
are powerful
but transitory phases
—opposing forces
designed to spark
continual evolution
in the enlightenment
of our transcendental minds.
