I really wanna go find statistics on the different rates of pyometra between Scandinavia and the US. With having a significantly better control on which dogs are breeding, I'm curious to see if there is a decrease in cases

The main animal insurance company in Norway and Sweden has i at 23-25% of intact bitches by the age of 10, with mortality of about 3-4% (unclear whether that’s total or of the affected, I can’t download anything rn apparently). 7% of Swedish bitches are spayed.

If anyone has the US stats on hand that’d be coolio bc it’s late and I have to go to bed, and most of the pages I came upon listed that same Swedish paper.

What I found Very interesting though is the difference between breeds, rainging from 10% to 54% - list of relevant studies at the bottom ‘cause i’m lazy.

I feel like I know exactly what you're talking about? There was a video of a girl recently lifting super heavy and she had a little moment of incontinence. She's lifting a fuck ton of weight, her muscles were a bit occupied elsewhere.

Can also have to do with the fact all the other muscles activated in a deadlift are being told to “bear down”. It’s something that happens in women who lift.  Men who coach and lift with elite women understand that this isn’t preventable. Men who coach and support elite women even make jokes about it being a badge of honor--- since most deadlift records are broken with a little bit of pee.  It’s ignorant and cruel to mock women for something that’s involuntary.  Should ever man who gets a partial-woody while lifting get yelled at??

Not sure what counts as ‘secret’ any more, since I’ve put so much of me up on this blog. I can bake bread? I write reasonably good fiction?

91. Where would you like to travel to? 

Lots of places. New Zealand is high on the list, as is the UK and Ireland. There’s a couple of places I’d like to go back to in the USA too, just not right now.

Yeah, I just figured the ones close to graduating would just fill in my co-trainer’s schedule and get moving with it, but several didn’t want to take that option even though I’ve been out since late July and it’s almost October.
