            — ♛ The blonde stared out the window of the apartment, the soft Christmas music playing softly in the background but it was pointless to have considering the voices of adults were covering the sweet sounds of instruments and celebrities doing their own rendition of holiday favorites. Jesse should be video chatting her best friend but Blake was sick as hell and could barely speak so instead of listening to her friend bitch about how sucky her holiday was, the blonde was stuck pretending to completely fit into the group of detectives that all had gathered at Olivia's place. Noah was busy texting his girlfriend and the adults were drinking wine and talking about the latest crime on the news. Don't they ever just take a break? Jesse asks herself as the doorbell rang and she stood up from her spot on the windowsill and went to answer the door. Looking into the peephole first to see if it was some stranger before letting the door fly open, the door hitting the back of the wall with a loud bang and a squeal coming from her throat at who was at the door.               — ♛ Between all the time Jesse spent at school and practice for her winter recital, she hardly could remember the mention of Nick and Zara coming down for the holiday. Jesse had exchanged well into the thousands of emails with Zara ranging from relationship trouble to her emotions (which you better believe Jesse holds close to the vest unless she feels that she can trust the other person she is talking with). Jesse had to admit that she had told Zara things that not even Blake, her closest friend hadn't a clue about. Jesse practically threw herself into Zara's body, ❝It's great to see you!❞ She was vibrating with excitement and energy that she hadn't yet worked off. Normally in the mornings, Jesse would go running with her mother or if her mother was working she would practice her dances to get ready for the day but with it being Christmas Eve, she had skipped the whole thing. She wraps her arms around Zara and squeezed for a few seconds before pulling away, ❝I didn't think you guys would make it!❞ She was just saying that considering she hadn't remembered Zara saying she was coming down.

It had been a long couple of weeks, at Redwoody. Lyla was still getting used to all the changes. She cared about all the guys, don’t get her wrong. But, sometimes, she still missed seeing guys like Bobby around, when Gemma would pop in. She really missed Jax. She missed Opie. She still didn’t understand how everything had happened, but they just kept making movies. ATF kept popping their head in and she didn’t know why. It’d been over a good while.

She was so worn out from shooting a movie that had turned into a three day shoot, 15 hours. It was after ten when she got home, and it didn’t take her long to realize that Ellie hadn’t been home yet. She’d never thought she’d be raised a teenage girl. It wasn’t that they didn’t get along. But, she had to try to keep them all under control, somehow.

She had just changed when she heard the back door and leaned against the doorway. “You know, it is late. It’s a school night too.”  She took a deep breath. “Do you want to tell me why you weren’t home yet?”

           — ♛ Kate couldn’t sleep a wink so she goes down to the kitchen and puts on the tea kettle to heat up some water for some soothing tea. Liz had been the one to teach her about how good tea is for the soul. The fact that Liz’s presence was everywhere had long ago stopped being as painful as it had been when they first moved into her home. Now, it was more of a comfort because it was the place that Liz had wanted to raise her daughter, watch her take the first steps and the first day of school getting ready in this home and Kate had done it all for her in this home. Earl Grey tea is pulled out from the cupboard by the time the kettle lets out a whistle. She pours hot water into a cup and is just about to sit down with a hot cup of tea when she hears footsteps, not of Chris ❨his footsteps were heavy with no attempt to not make a sound❩ now if Kate had to guess that means that Meg was up so that meant another cup of tea would need to be poured.            — ♛ By the time Kate sees Meg, she has another cup of hot tea ready for Meg and sitting on the table. A sigh coming from tired lips, she was exhausted and ready for bed but her mind can’t seem to shut off. Moving a stray strand of hair out of her face, she puts on a soft smile, ❝Can’t sleep either?❞ A question that doesn’t need to be asked since it was close to one in the morning and Meg should be tucked in her bed asleep. Kate had slept for maybe two hours before getting up and landing herself here. Pushing the cup closer to the other side of the island before getting in the cupboard and getting out some cookies. A yawn slips out as she opens the pack of Oreos and takes one out for herself.  ❪Unsure of the timeline so I left a lot open for discussion. Also willing to write something new as well❫

now that jesse and zara were older, going to the mall with them was a lot more enjoyable. no more tantrums or chasing each other through the building or playing hide and go seek in racks of clothes. in fact, when they asked jules to tag along, she only felt grateful that her nieces still wanted to hang out with her. 

standing in a store that clearly did not cater to women her age, juliette managed to locate jesse and zara who stood in front of a wall of graphic t-shirts. “wait a second. have you heard a song by the doors before?” jules smirked and raised a brow at zara who was currently examining their 1968 world tour shirt.

oh, charlotte  !    she was probably wendy’s most favorite person in the world.   why  ?   well, their sense of humor was eerily similar    &   they were the best at making fun of everyone else in the house.    the raven-haired witch adored when her niece spent the weekend with her because   -----     well, who else was she going to watch horror movies with   ?   certainly not joanna.     which was why, when the car pulled up out front, wendy beauchamp burst out the front door like some kind of mad woman, immediately scooping up the tiny blonde   &   smothering her in kisses.     ❝     i missed you   !    ❞
