really???? i ultimately wasn’t a fan of s4 and found the finale especially terrible (oops?)

i think i had my ragefest over sherlock before/during/after s3 soooo with s4 i had literally no expectations except that they would make me angry--and they failed to make me angry!

okay, almost failed--the treatment of women, still, abominable. extra abominable actually. 

but the thing is... i don’t care anymore. i don’t care anymore to get upset about the canon. 

i thought that the final problem was fantastic, literally fantastic. unbelievable and entertaining. i don’t expect realism from my sherlock. 

anyway i haven’t read or heard anyone else’s points of view about the show so feel free to talk my ear off about it! <3

i... haven’t considered it one of the HP books, so that’s probably why i haven’t anticipated it like i did the series.

Everyone’s opinions that I’ve heard have been good, I just don’t?? care?? anymore?? I don’t know.  

i don’t give two shits about Tony Stark at all and I don’t like that they broke up the dream team of Nat, Sam and Steve, and I don’t care about Ant Man, and I don’t like this universe’s version of Clint (and I hate Jeremy Renner) and I am squicked out by Steve dating Peggy’s niece??? And I just...  don’t give a shit anymore??

a student of mine was complaining about something similar today (though not as clearly as you put it). he said that every year in middle school they had to watch the same 9/11 video and it just made it feel cheesy and lame.

Exactly!  We don’t talk about it, we parade it around like a show dog to make ourselves feel justified for the things we did afterward.  It’s especially bad in schools these days, where most students either weren’t alive or weren’t old enough to remember it.  My school didn’t mention it at all, which did feel somewhat strange, but also soothingly like the inevitable passage of time.
