the real question is...are we gonna be getting Minajael and Rielle cards...? 👀 they frikking LOVE springing things on us completely out of left field (see: the RSA guys being a thing in the first place) so if/when they decide to drop 'em, I doubt we're going to have ANY warning. so I'll just be over here bracing myself for another month of "it could be nothing, it could be EVERYTHING", as is the usual Twst way.

Still have to answer my Anon and a lot of disoriented DMs - but how could they be any different, given the hurt and confusion the most recent episode of the #shitshow induced? But instead of an excessively long, perhaps indigest, answer, I thought I'd split things, somehow and make my thoughts more palatable. Which, to be honest, is a bit ironic, especially about unpalatable shenanigans.

Anyways, I don't think I am spoiling anything if I tell you that my Anon asked about what is next, since now the series is over - or is it, LOL? But their question immediately fueled its necessary and logical correlate: where are we now? And I was very, very surprised to find, while browsing through my archives for something completely different, a post I wrote seven months ago, on C's birthday. The moment she followed Madam Mao on Instagram and the either wailing or nagging comments that ensued - as you can very well imagine.

I hate to quote myself and I am not a fan of hasty reblogs that don't always show the date and time of posting, but I found at least part of what I wrote then eerily accurate.

C's follow, an important waypoint - yes, pun totally intended - of sorts, was preceded by S's Instagram birthday wishes, where they are flipping the bird at the entire universe, OL fandom included:

In that same post, I was also writing this, which gave me pause, while re-reading it:

I don't think one has to be Mrs. Graham, the druid, and draw this - probably logical - conclusion. Was I expecting things to reach that level of intensity, though? Probably. Was I expecting all the factions to agree on something as important and trifling as this woman's shenanigans? Definitely not, and this is a surprise.

So here we are. What next, indeed.
