I have a tendency to reflect on life just before I perform. This photo here my boy @bboyvincanity captures that moment clearly. Sitting here present day at the San Jose airport waiting on my ride to scoop me. I can’t help but reflect on the heartbreaking news I received on my way home from LAX coming back from Amsterdam yesterday. I question how truthfully is the people of this culture I love ready to face their realities. I know myself I don’t dance to run from my troubles I use it to help me face the truth. Whether it be pain, sorrow, heartbreak, guilt, etc. In hope to spread that type of awareness towards others and inspire those who may need to do the same. So we can all move on and grow. But yesterday I lost a very dear friend of mine. A very dear friend. I am sorry but I can’t hide it. I cannot pretend that I’m okay with myself being away from home, away from supporting the family that helped support me when I needed it. This cut deep, because here we are again after the youngest of 3 brothers passed in the 90’s. Knowing we planned on doing great things for the youth in the future using our history through dance and experiences. There’s not a day goes by that I don’t wish all my boys who once shared this passion never quit. I don’t want to ramble on so I’ll wrap this up. If you could give a moment of silence either in prayer or just for strength and wishes to the Cuentas Family for me please. It is not me who needs the condolences but his family, my friends. Out of respect I cannot share what happened so if you took the time to read this please just give that respect as well. 🙏🏽 #RIPAdrianCuentas #osk #twk #supportthosewhosupportyou (at San Jose, California)
