Name Change! (Kind of...)

As you may or may not notice, the project originally-known as "Solmniax Town" has gotten itself a longer (and more whimsical imo) name of "Our Place In The Sun Over SOLMNIAX TOWN" (ideally the title card would be presented with the capitalized text on the bottom and the pretext on top like in the sketch below)

I changed the name for multiple reasons.

1: "Solmniax Town" just doesn't roll off the tongue too well and it has always been hard for me to remember titles that had goofy ahh made up words that didn't resemble any existing words, so why would I do that to my audience? Still, the town of Solmniax is way too important to the story to cut out of the title completely, and I refuse to change the name because it's iconic. I believe that adding the "Our Place In The Sun" makes it easier to remember.

2: I have grown fond of longer, more descriptive titles. It started when I learned that in Japan, the title of the movie "Up" translates to "Grandpa Carl's Flying House" which is just WAAAY better! I wanted a piece of that whimsy.

3: Not only do those titles sound better, they also tell you more about the story. I often have a hard time choosing new movies to watch or books to read because the title tells me nothing! I decided to not put my audience through that by adding the "Our Place In the Sun" part because it immediately tells you what the story is about at its core -- it's about people fighting for (figuratively and literally) their place in the sun.

CH1: Issue 3 EXCLUSIVES!

Here we are, back again! Chapter 1 is 3/4ths of the way there!!!

This time I will share some awesome lore about Dr.Cuddles! The OGs will know that Cuddles actually used to be a younger character back in the day with completely a completely different story. He has been STRONGLY rewritten twice before this final, canon iteration!

1st Cuddles: He was the main character of my (now scrapped) "Snow Flower" project, where he was an arctic scientist in search of the legendary snow flower which was rumored to be the main ingredient to immortality. (He also had a pet rock that may or may not still be a thing! Beeheehee!)

2nd Cuddles: After the demise of the directionless "Snow Flower" project, Cuddles was aged down to be one of the kids in my (now scrapped) "It's H.I.D.E.O.U.S." project, where he was a shy kid interested in gardening and science. The "It's H.I.D.E.O.U.S." project didn't stick either, though. Not only was it also directionless, I had forgotten what the acronym even stood for!

3rd Cuddles (current): The previous project still had an impact, though, as many of its characters were repurposed and truly realized in "DANDEELION," Cuddles included! Now he is on the older side. He is still a scientist, but a retired one, and still interested in flowers! His personality actually changed very little, but now he is in the role he always practically begged to be in -- as a wise yet humble teacher.
