shout out to cast iron pans

if nobody else has got me, i know my cast iron pans have got me. make anything one pan wooden spoon good to go. cleanup so quick and easy it’s done before the food is cold. even gives me extra iron in my diet. fends off the anaemia demons. loves a bacon sandwich spa day.

when literally all of your friends are playing a game without you (m*rv*l r*v*ls) and you KNOW that this is because you are excluding yourself on purpose (mobas and pvp are so fucking bad for your health) but it still fucking sucks because you are on the other side of the fence (which is there for your own good) staring through the bars (everyone is in the voice chat) and having no choice but to listen to them (because your partner is one of them and you live in the same house and your other partner fucking left you a year ago because they couldn’t handle you being poly and thought you were fucking all your friends (which you weren’t) so you can’t even go do a different game with them instead anymore) all having fucking fun without you

anyway. this is fine. maybe i will just go outside with my sword until they’re done. because i lied and it actually really fucking sucks and no amount of hard-won progress ever really stops the abandonment issues from acting up sometimes, does it, huh?

cloaks are seriously the best bc sure a jacket or coat will keep you warm. but a cloak doubles as a blanket and will keep you cozy.

anyway i am sure people think i look very silly because it’s got a rather hastily and dubiously made hood, and it’s covered in cat fuzz, and also it’s like a million degrees and florida, but like. i don’t care. i love my cloaks. i am bringing this shit back into fashion so help me

my tits keep shrinking and at this point i almost want top surgery just so i can be allergic to shirts in peace. like what is the point. they’re exactly big enough for me to get in trouble for having them. which is stupid in and of itself!!!

the older i get the more i realise that not only does wearing socks or having my feet under the blankets while resting overheat me and give me migraines, fucking SHIRTS are a contributing factor to the heat on my back and neck as well. Like obviously my hair is also part of this. I am aware. But I can tie that up in a bun. I cannot just stop wearing a shirt.

all my housemates are men and i suspect they might not be normal about this if i got fed up with shirts and just stopped wearing them because of migraine associated issues. but the more and more it happens the more i find myself possibly needing to have that conversation of “are y’all gonna be normal if i have to take my fucking shirt off for my health.”

anyway. guess who has a migraine, cannot leave the couch because it’s too intense, and is really fucking mad about shirts.

so, for those of you who missed it, a red leather couch showed up on a neighbour’s curb. so i went and skinned it.

because sure a bunch of it looks like it’s in terrible shape, right? but good news! that’s all PLEATHER that sucks! the leather is in great condition! Though it took several hours to rip all the seams out and separate the wheat from the chaff here…

i swear, nothing will make you want to bite whoever it was that sold us on “vegan leather” being a good idea like scrapping a piece made out of both fake and real stuff… Anyway, I ended up with a TON of good material. So.

More seam ripping is required to fully break it down into usable parts, but with sheer audacity and unbridled confidence, I am going to finally make myself a suit of armour. Specifically, we’re going for the vampire armour from Skyrim. Or at least vaguely inspired by it, since as we all know from the Dark Brotherhood robes, video game outfit designers are not constructing things in manners that make sense.

However, in order to pass as armour for Dagorhir rules, i will need to layer this stuff 3x over… which means. glue must get involved. So. This post is simultaneously an excited announcement and a plea for help, if anyone has advice for what the hell I should use to make sure the pieces stay nice and flexible after being glued or other tips or tricks, I could sure use them.
