♚ happily ever after ;

being single after a year and some time felt....strange.

a part of sohee felt like she was missing a part of her routine: one that she didn’t voluntarily change herself. though she knows the breakup between her and kyun was something they ultimately needed to do. she wasn’t ready. she was insecure. she was projecting too much out of paranoia.

she needed to do some major growing up.

but she can’t help but feel a tiny bit listless in the dorms. even now. she would usually leave the dorms with the excuse of “seeing friends” (when she was actually seeing him) but now she doesn’t really go out as much as she used to. she’s not squeezing in weekends with her beau. she’s around a lot more, particularly in her room or on the couch curled up with a book because she has no other idea of how to refocus her time.

her life has felt like it’s become a whirlwind of events lately and she was just trying to find stable ground. sohee sighed for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes. was she really working on herself if all she was doing was moping at the dorms when they got home? what self improvement could she hope to achieve? all she was doing was barely keeping it together. barely.

sohee threw her phone to the other side of the couch and got up. she threw the blanket back onto the couch. staying there and sighing was going to drive herself crazy. she needed something to do. something to fill up all this space she had. there was too much opportunity for her to sigh and to groan and to curl up in a sad blanket burrito. she needed someone to occupy the space and occupy her thoughts so she didn’t go bat shit.

“is anyone home?” she called, moving towards the kitchen. “i’ll cook lunch! my treat....” she just hoped someone was home right now with her. hopefully not paying attention to her mopey attitude but willing to eat some lunch. “i’ll make anything you want~”

it’s the second episode of the show, and already chanyeol has become comfortable with his position, and with much of the staff. that’s nothing new, he supposes, not when he’s always been quick to try and make friends with everyone, and all the staff must be used to people like him, energetic, talkative, over the top. they have to be in this industry, right? he still feels like he could be a little closer with his co-emcees, but there isn’t any bad blood at all between them, so that’s a win in his book, and becoming closer will come with time, he’s sure of it. they only meet once a week to film the episodes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen, especially when he’s determined it will!

he’s actually ecstatic that the second week’s guests are coming from his company. they’ve only filmed the introductions so far, but it’s already gone well, with him talking up the girls as if they’re the best artists in the entire universe, which, they are, and egging on the competition between them and the other two hosts. they have a short break between this and the next segment while the staff sets up, giving him time to speak with joy, who he feels he hasn’t had a good chance to meet with since she debuted.

he approaches her while she’s supposed to be getting touched up by the makeup artists, and while she’s distracted, he silently takes a cushion concealer from one of the assistants and stands off to the side, reaching out to pat at her cheeks without actually touching her cheeks, pretending to be one of the staff until she notices him---at least, that was the plan until he accidentally did pat her cheek. “whoops!”

at least it isn’t noticeable...

finding the new idol is going to be harder than she thought in the halls of trc.  jei’s not quite sure what she expected, considering her own schedule is harsh  -  surely a new idol would be even harder to track down.  at the very least though, she has an idea of who she’s looking for because yien made the request rather clear.  jei just has to get a signed photocard of this girl he’s clearly obsessed with and then get it to him somehow so that he’ll keep his mouth shut when it comes to her trainee status to hyun.  it’s really the only reason why she’s actually giving in to his whims in the first place.

it’s true though, that things  (  and sometimes people  )  are easier to find when you’re not looking for them at all.  kil  -  or joy, whatever her name is  -  casually stands nearby when they’re both doing nothing at all, and jei figures that it’s perhaps the best chance she has.  so she approaches, tucking her hair back behind her ear and hopes this situation won’t be too awkward for either of them.  “ excuse me .. kil sunbae?” she says in a dull tone, ready to whip out her phone at a moment’s notice just in case the idol doesn’t believe her.  “ if you’ve got some time, i have a favour to ask if you wouldn’t mind.”
