Garen sprang up and began unsheathing his sword. He pulled the sheath from his back and placed in on the ground as his gloves gripped the handle with a clench as strong as steel, before he began to pull, and wiggle, and jiggle the weapon to pull the mighty Demacian blade free of its trappings. The hag looked on, stunned.
“What the hell are you doi--”
“Fear not! It’s coming!” Sounded the knight, as the blade inched further from the brilliant blue and gold prison, made with the most skilled in Demacian workmanship. It was a fine sheath to be sure, and damned would Garen be to turn down the skilled workmanship of no less than 12 Demacian tanners and blacksmiths for the sake of practicality.
“Should I just come back later?” The hag spoke, the soldier in her grip groaning as his memories were sifted like sand grains.
“The sheath is the first of many foes.” Garen spoke once more as the blade continued its exodus from the brilliant item, until finally, with a little bit more of a shimmy on his tip toes, the blade came free. “I stand ready!” Garen turned to face the hag, only to find that she had fallen asleep, the soldier sitting against the wall, eyes rolled back in his head, and a foam trailing from his mouth.
Garen sighed, replaced the blade within the sheath, sat down, and returned to his waiting. He would not strike a foe while they slept. He glanced briefly to the sheath and muttered under his breath.
“Vile scourge...”
