bloodborne is VERY difficult. like, even more difficult than standard souls games. don’t get too discouraged bb, any progress you make (however slow) is still progress! it’s been a while since i played but if you need help, just lemme know your level and we can try to set up a private coop?
I will definitely holla at you. I'm still in Central Yharnam lmao. It's my first souls game too, so I think it's just a matter of getting used to the whole "breaking a wall down with your head" aspect of the game. But there's something kinda zen about it too???? I like it.

It's from the phrase Camera Obscura, which means "dark room." It refers to developing photographs.

Also, it was the name of the camera used in the Fatal Frame games. Since Mikami is making nods to more than a few horror works in TEW, I wouldn't doubt this is a reference as well.
ok so it has some sort of “symbolic” meaning (don’t know how else to phrase this) and also may be a little easter egg, nice.
thanks for the clarification :)
THANKS EVERYONE i'm so happy ❤️

they're not distracting, and it's a nice deterrent from shitty reposters.

Thank you, loves!
in reference to your tags, the Straight Man refers to a trope: "Somebody has to set up the joke so the funny guy can deliver the punchline. That's the Straight Man. He rarely gets the funny lines, but has to have impeccable timing and delivery so that the comic (the other half of a comedy duo) can hit it out of the park."
Ah, I see. Thanks you for the explanation!
as someone who has a lot of complicated feelings about anders (as in, "you are an asshole and i would fight you if you were real, but i enjoyed romancing you because i like tragic compelling fiction"), AND who can't stand how fandom completely handwaves his terrorism because they find it justified (!!!), i love this blog and its discourse and all its contributors very, very much.
thank you!!
