Heianera!Sukuna and his quest for the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH for reader.
The divine sovereign Ryomen Sukuna, The King of Curses rained over the all the lands as he is the undisputed jujutsu sorcerer. During his rain he became jaded of the humans that worshipped him without any coups, or riots, they submitted to him body and soul.
The woman were also bothersome, they couldn’t even take him in bed properly not before whining and complaining about the pain and how he was ‘too big’, not to mention he had not but one but two phalluses.
They were incapable of pleasing him, thus he became even more weary.
He still collected concubines, determined that he would find one worthy and capable of pleasing him. His collection had run in the thousands as he had woman from all over the land. They were all the around the same age but different body types.
Then his lucky stars had finally brought him you. A human. A normal human woman, no different from the many he had in his disposition (gotta catch em all), yes you shared the human similarities with them, but the difference was your tenacity.
You unlike the others when he came to your village in search of a new lady of the lamplight, had rejected him.
A very valiant thing of a human woman to do.
“You have the gall to turn down the King of this land! You are but a fool knocking at death’s door!” Sukuna’s attendant remarked at you.
“Then so be it. The word of his search for a new night plaything has spread across the land. I am not interested in becoming his whore.” You spat coldly, eyeing his attendant from head to toe.
The most eligible women in your village were summoned an audience at the manor of which he was staying. You were the daughter of the sorcerers that he chose to stay with.
Now the other women finally found their voices and started to also speak up about not wanting to be with Sukuna.
A low chuckle came rumbling from around the corner, he walked slowly as he entered in the main hall of which the selection was taking place. The other women began to tremble from his presence in the room. Bowing and making themselves smaller to him.
You audacious as ever did not bow and made direct eye contact with him. Even though you had no form of aptitude for sorcery, was still trained as one.
“Your parents informed me of your behavior, I see that they left out the fact that you are brazen though you are a woman. I admire that of you.”
He, the King, praised your backward way as woman. His attendant was left speechless and so were you. You wanted him to lash out and behave as beastly as the rumors you heard claimed.
Ever since he arrived you had gone against every etiquette you were brought up with.
Why was he not as the rumors say? Was the only thought engulfing your mind.
Before you could come up with cheeky comeback, he was right in front of you invading your personal space.
“Will you become my bride instead of having to come serve me upon my beck and call? He took your left hand and kissed the back of it, while holding eye contact waiting upon your response.
“I shall accept. Only because you amuse me.”
“I could say the same of you.”
The events that took place afterward were of that a fever dream. You married him upon arrival at his temple and lived with him since then.
His desire that was unfulfilled by the many concubines he has were achieved by you. You soon began to fall into a love that was beyond you.
You thought that marrying him was going to prove a challenge and make him rue the day he laid eyes on you. It was not the case.
He fell first but you fell harder. As cliché as it sounds it was the truth, you gave him pleasure, rivaled and surpass his expectations that he had of you.
“You continue to amuse me woman so I promise that as long as we stay together I will bring you nothing but happiness.” He stated looking you in the eyes to show his honesty.
The oof of a man held your hands in his, kissing them and trailing from them until he reached your lips then down your neck until sweet sounds began spilling out of your mouth as you dove into the act with him.
You knew it was unfair to the many woman that were before you to not be receiving his affection, but you were jealous of the thought of sharing your man. So you gave your time to them tending to their needs as they weren’t treated with the same luxury as you.
You shared your riches amongst them and making it so their quarters were tended to and that they had everything that you did. You begged sukuna if he wasn’t going to spend time with them to marry them off to eligible sorcerers or men of noble class.
You saw to their education also. You believed that women were more than just the duties men tasked you with. You made a decree that woman should learn and have rights and choices. As most woman were usually seen and not heard.
One could say you were living the dream. Until a three years had passed and your love for each other was still going strong, an outbreak of a disease had spread amongst the masses. It affected every human including you.
People were dropping like flies. The temple was in a state of chaos. The best physicians were also ill. The chances of you surviving were as slim as a thread.
Sukuna had forgotten that humans couldn’t avoid death and losing you was a thought he could not bare. He couldn’t leave you as you were, he entrusted your well-being to his most loyal and faithful servant Uraume.
He knew of a fountain that could solve all his worries, but he would have to leave your side to acquire it.
“You must nurse the woman back to her former health. Rally the humans that still draw breath that can make medicine to cure her. If she dies, I will kill you Uraume.” A stern set of words Ryomen had left with his servant.
“Also burn the bodies of the humans that have died, we have no need for them.”
“Yes master.” Uraume bowed as Sukuna made his departure.
The voyage...........................................
The fountain of youth was a legend that people all over the land had heard about. Sukuna also heard of the mysterious waters that could stop aging and make a human live forever. Some thought he had drank from the fountain himself, but that was not his case.
For you he travelled to the story’s place of origin. In the west, he was seen as a monster, nothing new to him. But the foreign land was so vast he couldn’t believe how small his land was in comparison.
His search turned from days, to weeks, to months, to almost a year. He had thought on giving up then he remembered what the purpose of his search was. Finally, after a year of searching woods, ruins, and suspected treasure areas, he found a ruin that was not in any tongue he knew of.
This had to be.
He entered into its depth engulfed in darkness except the torch lighting his path. Whispers and mumbles could be heard around him, even right by his side, he was a man that hadn’t known fear so whatever that was causing the chatter had no effect on him.
“I see you come looking for the water, like the many others that have come here through the same trial and error.” A soft voice came through the darkness silencing the chatter.
It was eerily familiar, as it almost sounded like you.
Sukuna thought he was hallucinating. How could you be here, when you were supposed to be in his lands and not across the ocean like he was.
“But you are different. You not man nor beast. Much like myself I see.” Soft chuckles could be heard echoing in the ruins.
“Reveal yourself to me unless you seek to die.”
“Die? I couldn’t if I wanted too. But you wish to bring me death, you are amusing tell me, what is your name. I’ll start I am ͙͘͡ ★ the protector of this here ruins.” Revealing itself to be a spirit that had no face.
It was a sight Sukuna had never seen before. He quickly collected himself and cleared his throat to do as it asked.
“Ryomen Sukuna, King of curses and I hail from a distant land and I’m se—” “Which lands exactly for many have come from all over seeking what I bare but none ever leave with it so do tell traveler what is the name of your land, the position it sits on a map and the era.” The spirit cut him off completely, only curious of the land.
“I am not level headed you see, and my love is waiting for me to return. How about we negotiate, my knowledge for your water? He inquired hoping the spirit would bargain.
“I accept, under one condition—this is not the time— then the deal is off.” A sigh escaped his lips he nodded accepting defeat.
He was desperate he couldn’t bare seeing you suffer or worse dying a sudden death. Putting his pride and ego aside, he accepted.
“My condition, you must consume me after I give you the water. I have no reason to be in the mortal realm no longer, so I’m taking up your offer.”
The king of curses was at a loss for words at the spirts request. An alterior motive maybe? Perhaps or perhaps, it’s been here as long as he has walked the earth, so he felt sympathy for another that wasn’t his wife and the fact that the spirit shared her voice did help them.
The knowledge was passed and the water was shared.
“Now my water can cure any sickness, make one live forever, but it can’t bring back the dead so make sure that her heart is still beating when she drinks it or else this journey that you’ve travelled would be for naught. I’m ready for you to swallow me whole. How exciting it is to die!” The spirits tone changed from serious to that of a child who had just received a sweet treat.
Sukuna did as the spirit wished. Swallowing it whole with his second mouth the life force it had drained instantly, he even received memories of its past and how its life led up to this point.
He quickly left the ruins. His path was clear nothing could stop him now from returning to his homeland. To you.
Arrival..............................................
The ship ride accompanied by the autumn chill was quite the challenge but none the less, he persevered. His determination to see you in all your glory was his driving force not to mention the fact that he went ten months with sex.
He wanted to see you urgently to ask you to be his forever with the water by his side he had nothing to fear.
This ship took two weeks to reach Japan. Sukuna was over the moon when the boat docked. He could feel the adrenaline pumping being back in his homeland.
What he didn’t expect was the people. The people were all better? No sick. And lively to boot. Ryomen had sent word to the capital of his arrival.
He couldn’t shake the eerie feeling he had. A pit formed in his stomach also.
When he arrived at the capital. His temple was burnt. There was a new leader from the whispers he heard. And his wife? Her head was all that he could find. Her head was on a stick alongside many of his attendants that served him.
The vultures had gotten to them but he knew you by your bone structure. He knew the cruelty and wickedness of the humans but he never expected that this would come of it.
His anger gradually built walking around what was left of his temple. There were signs of a child from the way the room had changed and from the looks of it, it was an infant. The room he formerly shared with you looked disgusting.
The ashes, the bones and fragments of garments were all too much to take in. He stumbled upon a loose floor board. He opened it revealing a book and a ring. Your ring.
He couldn’t help but open it and read it.
“Today, marks the eight-week Ryomen has left on his journey and I feel all the more angry at him. He didn’t even wait on me to come to, to bring me along. I’m seething but the court physicians say it’s not healthy for our baby. It’s so strange. I never thought I’d be with child now here I am with one. I’m excited too, I can’t wait to see my man. I’ll give him an earful before I lock lips with him and tell him the exciting news.”
This had to be divine punishment. How could he be so stupid not to notice that his wife conceived. How could he miss all of her joy. He was too focused on losing her, then actually lost you. He decided to torture himself even more by reading the rest of your words.
“I fear an uprising will occur if Ryomen does not return before our child is born. Uraume shares my thoughts. He has done everything in his power to keep the peace between the sorcerers. My time is drawing closer. This child has grown so much, it pains me that you aren’t here.” Your words rang through his head.
He couldn’t stop. He had to see this through.
“Autum is almost here and the sorcerers seem to be planning a coup. I’ve soon to bring this life outside of me. I’m worried the world won’t accept them. My wish is for the peace to continue, but it is not that simple.”
“Giving birth was not an easy task, my baby was very big for his age. I almost died again. Uraume made sure that was not the case but the rioting has began. The people are taking advantage of the Ryomens absence.”
“My little one resembles him so much. Our time in this world is drawing to a close.”
“Dear, Ryomen If you find my book and my ring it means that I have not succeed in staying alive long enough to see you. Forgive me, know that I resisted to my last breath to protect our baby. I couldn’t bare to imagine what they will do to him if I don’t. I’m tired of waiting for you. They suspect you’re dead, that’s why they took action. I know you’re still alive. I’m mad at you for not showing up for us, not protecting me, our baby, the good people that have remained loyal even though there’s no sign of you. I’m disappointed too, you promised me happiness, I am at a loss for word at your empty promises. They’ve breached the courtyard. Soon it’ll be our chambers next. I sent away Uraume with our child hoping that he’ll live a life of peace, far away from this mess. I should hate you right now, but I still love you. Promise to look for me, I know we’ll meet again because our love transcends the heavens and the earth.
Sincerely,
Your love.
The tear stained paper had ended. Ryomen Sukuna, The King of Curses found himself shedding tears. His and yours reunited on the paper. This was not what he envisioned happening. You dead? Preposterous. This had to be some form of gimmick.
How could you die? You didn’t even do it in his presence. How could you be so selfish. Dying without him. Dying without your husband’s permission.
A laugh that sounded more like a roar escaped from his throat. Uraume would pay if he still drew breath while you didn’t. Then again with the sound of how they planned this coup it was no fool who did this.
He knew his son was not alive and so was Uraume.
He left with your journal. Your fingerprints at the front and a smaller set at finger at the back.
His emotions ran rampant. All he could see was red. The gods must be rejoicing over his suffering.
He went to what seem to be the main domain of the ‘savior’ an old woman was taking about.
Chatter, laughing, music and glass clinking could be heard from the outside. Sukuna took out every guard he came across until he reached the dining hall, a servant directed him to.
He arrived, burst opening the door. Leaving the sorcerers speechless. The merrymaking and elated atmosphere went dead silent. Sukuna smiled.
“I thought this was a celebration! Don’t cease it simply because I’ve arrived over the time. Continue! Enjoy yourselves! You’ve carried out a feet no normal human could. Killing my wife and child, burning down my temple and lastly making an example out of them. I would say you’ve all outdone yourselves here.” Sukuna praised, clapping the sorcerers.
“We would notdare to—You would not dare to what chancellor? Go against worship me. Kissing my ass to stay alive. Groveling like the weak pathetic being you are. I don’t believe so but it seems you grew a pair in my time of absence since you took your own nieces’ life. Did you kill her parents too or you gave them hush money so that they couldn’t complain.” Disgust etched across Sukunas features.
“If I had been here, would you still have found the time to plan a coup to kill my people? No. Because you are all spinless fucks. Who could only attack in my absence and the time where my wife would be most vulnerable.”
“It just so happened that the gods smiled upon us that day, yes we took advantage of the playing field. So what? You have put us through embarrassment long enough. We noble jujutsu sorcerers reclaimed the lands for ourselves and the people, leaving no room for creatures like you to do as you please.” An old man right hand side of the chancellor spoke up.
Sukuna didn’t recognize him but he saw that he could rival him. That was a threat.
“I have no need for people like you running your mouth while I talk. You will face my wrath.
It was a battle between curse and sorcerers. But the battle was over before it began. As the elders together bested Sukuna. Sealing him away into twenty indestructible fingers.
Thousands or years later, modern day Japan..........
“I told you Ryo! No more running away from mommy, when were on the street!” You chased after your sun seeing him bump into some strangers you immediately bowed to apologize.
“I’m so sorry about him, he gets hyperactive whenever we’re out an about I don’t know why but my deepest apologies. Ryo bow and say sorry you little troublemaker.” You scolded your son as he bowed and apologized.
“Ugh, no worries ma’am, I should be apologizing as well, you see, I’m in rush to be somewhere so I’m off but before that Ryo you shouldn’t give your mom so much trouble on the road okay? You could get her or yourself in serious trouble so be good for her.” Itadori ruffled his hair going to stand straight after stooping to Ryo’s level.
You waved at him and Ryo also.
“Mom The coolest thing I’ve ever seen just happened!” Your son squealed up at you in excitement.
“Yeah, and what’s that?” you said continue walking with your squirming toddler.
“That guy had four eyes it was so awesome!”
“I think we should hurry up and head home you sound like you need a well rested nap. Pssh! Four eyes, ha! Your imagination is top of the line. I wonder if all kids are like you.” You chuckled lifting your son to rest on your hip.
Unbeknownst to you your toddler was being truthful. A set of eyes watched you two enter the train station. Opposite of Itadori.
I'm so happy that I finally completed one of my many drafts. I'm still scared to post this tbh. Imo I think it's really fast paced but imma work on it. I hope someone likes it though. Would this be considered as a drabble btw?
