A flower learning how to disappear.
Hubs is watching a sexual harassment video for work. I sent this to him being the supportive wife that I am. 😆🙅🏻♀️📼🌹
was hiking by the lake and saw it strewn with roses and loose petals and found this guy basking in the centre of it all :)
The Last Rose Video by Distractivate
Rated: M
Relationship(s): Patrick Brewer/David Rose, Stevie Budd & David Rose
Additional Tags: Alexis Rose, Theodore "Ted" Mullens, Connor (Schitt's Creek), Kelsey (Schitt's Creek), Alternate Universe, Angst and Fluff and Smut, What more do you want?, excessive use of movie quotes, First Time, Slow Burn, Rose Video, Banter
Summary: Unlike most of the people David was typically drawn to, Patrick’s edge wasn’t about high fashion or shitty manners or a twisted game of use or be used. Patrick’s edge was his mouth, the sharpness of his tongue. David would do pretty much anything at this point to see what else that tongue was capable of.
A story about Patrick Brewer, who owns the last Rose Video franchise in the world, and David Rose, who has been sent to Schitt's Creek by his father to close the store for good. When David meets Patrick well... things do not go to plan.

this is the first au in this fandom that took my breath away with how good it is. there are plenty of others i've read since, but this one holds a special place in my heart because it was the one that showed me how good an au could be.

Hi, timeline-ish question or maybe just something I didn't understand: Are we supposed to believe that Rose Video still existed as a video rental store until the business manager screwed Johnny over, even though the show seems to be set in the 2010s? Or was the family still living off the profits from when video rental had been profitable, and Rose Video was already a thing of the past?
i’ve always assumed it was already a thing of the past, yes. i just can’t imagine that rose video was still doing anything in 2015 or so. idk exactly what that looks like in practice--big corporate business stuff like that definitely isn’t something in my wheelhouse--but i assume that johnny maybe sold off his stake in the company before the video store industry collapsed or that maybe they had gone to a franchising model that minimized the amount of financial risk he would have sustained as the business waned or something like that.
