Did I mention that my wedding is in 15 days??? . . Everyone is doing their 10 year growth posts and I definitely did mine, but I wanted to use this moment to talk about tough things and what I have learned. . . I never hide it but struggled a lot as a teenager and child. I had a lot of really tough spot to be in that I wouldn’t wish on anyone else. But I will share some of the things I’ve learned. . . 1.your looks won’t drastically change old and a wrinkle or two, but I still have the same nose and round cheeks 2. No one- not a single person- is entitled to you, your presence or time- regardless of who they are to you or what they’ve done “for you”, this was something toxic I had a hard time with, but am better with now. If they make your life worse cut them out. 3. Happiness is a journey and a goal. I look back over the last five years and think some moments had been happy - but now realizing they were miserable - I had convinced even myself that they were happy. My goal is always to be in the pursuit of happiness to seek it out and find joy in simple things, but also know that definitions of happiness change, I never want to stay in a situation because it once made me happy when I can continue to keep trying to do things that make me happy rather than stewing in the past. . .
