Rune Seasons' First Ever Event!

With a good ol’ summer wrap up, our Fireside Festival has come to a close! The great out doors are just the right place to... fight a bunch of bees, seduce a bear, be jumped by a man in a dog suit-- wait. That doesn’t sound ANYTHING like a camping trip? 

In any case, Mimi and Levi should probably think twice before hosting another one of these odd events. But hey, at least the Adventurer’s Guild got what they wanted right? With the Zephyr Blade in tow, the two went for a cup of tea and were on their way. 

What’s so special about a branch anyway?

Stardrop Carnival

Come one, come all! To the spectacular Stardrop Carnival! .

From magical girls to princes in dresses (no, we did not spell that wrong,) the Stardrop Carnival was a one-stop place for hilarity! Now, if only those Funland guys would stop bugging Mimi and Levi about copyright infringement... 

No matter! As long as the rest of the ongoers had a lot of fun (and the police manage to catch the people sheering all the animals in the petting zoo) all will go perfectly well!

- ̗̀ Stardrop Carnival  ̖́-

Welcome to the Stardrop Carnival, located in the humble Pelican Town!

This event is open from September 16th - 30th!

When you first enter the fairgrounds you’ll receive a stamp card from the ticket booth. (Mimi approved!) This card has eight attractions for you to attend and get a stamp on your card! If you can get 4 or more, you'll be rewarded with Rune Points. You can do these in any order!

To get all the stamps on your card all you have to do is roleplay your character participating! You can either do this via tumblr threads or through the RP Discord server.

Completing 4 stamps will get you 500 RP. 6 stamps will get you 1000 RP. 8 stamps will get you 2000 RP.

IF YOU GET ALL 8 STAMPS… YOUR NAME and a PERSONAL MESSAGE lit up on the Ferris Wheel! (You can also make the message anonymous if you want.) And you’ll also receive: a picture album of your entire fair adventure, bundled up to your tastes.

Because we love to see people have fun with these events we’re rewarding a little extra for participation.

Make sure to tag all your posts “RS:Carnival”! This will help the mods to reward the correct amount of RP.

Beach Oasis Bazaar

[An Obligatory Beach Episode  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ]

Located in the Varnt Desert (Hot Hot Desert™), out in Midgar. The area is surrounded by lots of pyramids, odd statues, and pools of water with sprouting springs. For some reason, people tend to wear bathing suits (and anything they can do without... to keep cool). ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) There are many stands selling popsicles and ice cream. Expect to have some mini pool parties in here, yeah?

{ Attractions: }

A huge oasis in the center of pyramids, stalls, and is that a... sphinx?  It looks just like paradise, a beacon of hope after arriving into the desert. The water glimmers and shines and the palm trees and coconuts really make you think you are truly at a beach. And not in the middle of a heated wasteland. The Stalls are another point of interest! This is where you meet Mimi passing out some funky looking popsicles that do not resemble the packaging at all. People over here are always looking for a deal, and feel free to barter your hard earned RP. Bathing suit contests, watermelon smashing, and muscle mania! This is where people can showcase their outfits and show off their strength. There will be judges for the bathing suits, and a mini game for people to play to see who’s the strongest of them all! Details below the cut~

{ How stalls work: }

You set up your stall with five different kinds of items you can sell-- within reason of your character. (Like you can’t be selling woolies if you don’t even know the heck a wooly is.) You can even sell items you've earned from events!

For sellers: Set up a post, your 5 selections, the quantity of each item, and the price you want to sell them at.

For buyers: Feel free to reblog and reply to a stall post! But you have to have Rune Points (RP) to spend it, you hear? Please document and keep track of your RP accordingly.

{ Events and Minigames }:

> Bathing Suit Contest: Simply just make a post on your account of your bathing suit aesthetic. Or lack there of, really. You could be wearing as much as you like, or as little. (Providing that you, uh- keep *something* on. Think of the kiddos.) Describe how you feel about wearing it, don’t forget to smile. That’s the greatest asset anyone could have.

Mimi, Levi, and a random NPC judges your attire. The winner of the contest gets 500 RP! And some really neat Ray bands.

> Muscle Mania: It’s a minigame in which people gather around to showcase their pecs-- I mean everyone wrestles against each other inside a kiddie pool. Whomever is the last one standing wins. Think of it as a mini tournament! Feel free to RP it out in Discord or on the dash. 

How to play: You need two players. Both will have their hands against each other and see who could push them down into the kiddie pool. At least it’s cool, right?

[ Fireside Festival - August 2018 ]

Alisa walked around the games area in a pair of jeans, a cute white shirt with a floral pattern, striped shoes. Despite the heat Alisa kept the rays away with her floppy sunhat. She couldn’t bring herself to wear shorts, though. Many people around her did so, but it wasn’t something she was comfortable in. Thankfully it wasn’t a scorching weekend and she could enjoy herself. Besides, what better way to celebrate nature and the Harvest Goddess than to go camping?

[ Fireside Festival - August 2018 ] 

While Elli preferred dresses, she knew the impracticality of a skirt in the wilderness. Thus, she turned to a pair of overall shorts, comfy shirt and shoes, and a bandanna to keep her hair out of her eyes. It put her a little outside of her comfort zone, but the heat was so much she was willing to grin and bear it. Of course she made sure to pack bug spray. She triple checked.

Ahh, summer. The time of being outdoors and enjoying nature to its fullest potential which is exactly what the Fireside Festival aims to do!

So, pack your bags because you’ll be roughing it in the wilderness for two days!

Participants will travel to Bluebell and Konohana for the festivities. All expenses are paid thanks to the Adventure Guild sponsoring the event, so there’s no need to worry about how to attend! The festival will take place over three days in character.

The event is open from JULY 28 - AUGUST 11! 

Day One consists of getting to the campsites, pitching your tents, and getting to know fellows who’ve decided to attend! There are a plethora of minigames and activities around the campsite for you to enjoy--some which require group participation. This is your chance to make some new friends while winning prizes. Win win!

Minigames costs 10 RP to play each time. But you can play them as much as you’d like! View the list of prizes [ HERE ] !

Tug of War: Name as it states, people pulling two ends of a rope- trying not to get pulled into the mud. Each side starts off with 3 HP and whoever hits to zero or slips into the mud is the determining factor for a winner!

Canoeing: Take a ride around the lake with a new friend! If you get waterfall or tip then it’s game over for you.

Activities do not cost RP. But there aren’t any prizes--except all the fun you’ll have! These are here for roleplay purposes. While you can roleplay the above games as well, these provide various scenarios for your characters to interact and get to know one another on their camping trip.

Campfire: Come one, come all to sit around the campfire. We’ll cook hot dogs, burgers, kabobs, and the ever important s’mores. When night begins to fall and the woods nearby grow dark it’s time to break out the spoOoOoky ghost stories~

Swimming: Why not take a break from the heat and take a dip into the lake? You could play chicken with others or have splashing competitions! 

Hide and Seek: Ever played hide and seek on a mountain? Well now is your chance! Show how well you are at finding things and let your inner Hufflepuff shine! While the Adventurer Guild doesn’t recommend it you could always do Extreme Mountain Edition: In the Dark. 

Meteor Shower: After nightfall you’ll definitely want to stay up to see the beautiful night sky. Not only do you get to see an impressive display of stars but there’s a meteor shower that night! Be sure to make some wishes!

Day Two is host to THE EPIC TREASURE HUNT! The Adventure Guild has put together quite the event for all to enjoy. The two hosting the event will be Mimi and Levi. That following night will have a dazzling fireworks show for all to enjoy.

The Treasure Hunt will take place on AUGUST 9TH, 4:00PM EST! 

Day Three it’s time to pack up and say your goodbyes. It’s sad for the fun to end, but you can always keep in touch with all the new friends you’ve made! Be sure to exchange addresses so you can keep in touch. Who knows, maybe you can go and visit them directly next time?
