1. do you count calories? if so, how many do you eat a day? and if not, what do you aim for approximately?
NOPE. I try and aim for 1900/day. But I hardly ever manage that. I just try and eat better. :]
2. have you ever taken a weight loss break?
I've fallen off the bandwagon for a week or 4, but I've never really said "I'M TAKING A BREAK".
3. do you cook meals yourself?
I do. When you start eating different to everyone else (or move out of home!) you learn pretty quickly how to make a palatable dinner. :]
4. favourite blogs in the fitblr community?
In no particular order:
justagirlandtheroad, fatboyslimmer, pastelpinkandfit, the-running-bear, runlikeshit, runninggroove, malefitspiration and of course, tumblrgym. THERE ARE HEAPS MORE THOUGH. Those are just the ones that have popped into my tired tired brain. :\
5. HAVE YOU DRANK PLENTY OF WATER TODAY? < serious question
Not as much as I should have! Dammit, Kayla, you caught me on a bad day!! Hahahaha. :] I'll be honest though. I only had, like 2 glasses. :\
6. do you have any kind of goal/reward system for mini losses/nsv’s?
No, not really. And I think that's why I've 'plateaued' for so long. Because I haven't had any thing to drive me to that next step. I've got an idea hidden away up my sleeve though. Watch this space.
7. what do you do for strength training?
I do weights at the gym once a week. I slaughter my whole body, to the point where I know it will be tough to walk the next day, give myself 6 days to recover and then do it all again! I lift as heavy as I can. Chest press, leg press, seated row, bent over row, press ups, lunges, squats - all good fun, baby.
8. what does your general day of food look like?
Terrible. Start the day with porridge (if I'm lucky), lunch might be a salad, dinner is usually a pasta or risotto made by yours truly.
9. have you ever tried any fad diets?
The only one I've tried was the "Australian Woman's Weekly 21 Day Wonder Diet". It was just a whole lot of recipes that were to be followed. Mum and I did it for the first week and a half, but because all the dishes were so expensive, we stopped. I mean, we can't afford to have salmon every night. Hate to break it to you, but most people can't.
I lost weight though, which was cool. Lost like 3kgs.
So it works, but only if you're ballin'.
10. whats your favourite healthy, and non healthy food?
Healthy food - Sushi
Non healthy - butter chicken. or fried chicken.
My turn now. Answer these questions. :]
1. What made you decided to get healthy?
2. What is your favorite exercise and what is your personal record?
3. Who/what inspires you the most to do your best?
4. Who is your fitness hero?
5. If you could choose between 1 free 12 month gym membership or 1 year of free vegetables, which would you choose?
6. QUICK, Zombie Apocalypse is happening right now, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN OUT RUN THEM?
7. Cardio can be boring. Would you rather have Lady Gaga or Chris Rock as your running buddy?
8. When I first started exercising regularly, I couldn't run for 1 minute. Now, I'm running for 10 minutes without stopping. What athletic ability are you most proud of at the moment?
9. Has your 'healthy' mindset changed since you started?
10. I believe that the key to healthy living is education. Say I wanted to start teaching children about health and I asked you to become a 'food superhero', what would your name be and what could your powers do to help me teach children about diet and exercise?
Haha. Holy shit. These questions got nuttier and nuttier towards the end.
I MUST be tired!!!
